Re: Summer transfer gossip and squad discussion
if the board of LUFC are going to spend £40-50 Million on 1 player it needs to be a number 9 NOT a number 1.
We need new incomings this transfer window in this order:
number 9
number 1
attacking midfielder

Leeds need to bring in a midfielder who can score goals and a decent number 9 in Jan 2027.

YEP have dismissed this link.
Not someone we are after.
In fact mentions of a striker have been pretty much 0 all summer.
Not one verified striker link.

Trafford for £50m. Record LU wage earner. WR release fee!!!
We could pay up to £50m for Trafford smashing the club transfer record we will make him our highest earner. His release fee will be the highest ever for a goalkeeper: a whopping £75m!!!

Openda very early on, which goes to show it's not all badly aimed clickbait or the rumour mill would have linked every striker possible. I think we're happy with DCL and a couple of wingers, plus Piroe

If we get Brandt this will work! I actually think we are not looking for a striker right now with the Brandt acquisition in mind. if we can get Brandt over the line, do we need another/better striker? Piroe is guaranteed goals with Brandt/Wilson behind/alongside him...The Subhuman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2026 8:44 pm I think we're happy with DCL and a couple of wingers, plus Piroe

Re: Summer transfer gossip and squad discussion
If we get Trafford that really strengthens our defence.
Our signings so far this season is more quality than quantity.
Also getting rid of some players surplus to requirements.
I would even be happy with Trafford and a striker to finish off our signings.
Would be happy to wait to sign a midfielder after new year.
I know we’ve had this feeling before but really excited for the start of the season.
