Problem is I'd imagine waiting for Brandt is putting other targets like Espi on hold. Espi is a 9 or a 10 so would give us 3 top 10's in Brandt. Wilson and Espi and a lot of money spent on all three

Their isn't and even if it was true . . . .

It was Brighton not us apparently anyway which makes a lot more sense tbf

I reckon his key decision will be around European football versus playing in the best league in the world before he gets too old for it. Sociodad wont be offering him Champions League football - which he has played - so is Europa League such a draw? Same issue with Ajax.

Apparently we've offered him a 3 year deal. Maybe I'm just being glass-half-full, but I don't think we're out of it yet.

If he doesn't sign, clearly the club are already looking at options, which is good.

Espi going to Real Madrid.

But we were never the club in for him, we were "monitoring".
Brighton almost had the deal before Madrid turned up.
