My experiences with Grok, Chatgpt and Gemini have been using them for predicting horse races. They have not been a success.

They make mistakes pick horses that are not running or have already run, don't get the number of races at a meeting correct. If I took everything at face value, I would get it wrong most of the time.

Wording is terribly important, to get it to make a simple list of race time and horse name can be laborious, and if you correct it it always apologises for its mistakes.

Sorry I have just released an atomic missile from a submarine in the Arctic... I do apologize.

What are your experiences?

It does make a lot of mistakes, don't know if the paid versions are better.

The other day I was thinking about how Leeds spent a fair amount in the summer before we won the league title. I was curious to how our spending compared to our rivals. I asked AI to list the ten most expensive signings made by English clubs that summer. It completely missed out us signing Rod Wallace and Tony Dorigo. Once I corrected it, like you say, it acknowledged it's mistakes.

Like you say too you have to be extremely specific too.

I use ChatGPT all the time for images etc, I put one on here of Mr 64 when he was christened Lord Southwold.

I do several images of our dog etc.

Great piece of kit.

Hate it with a passion. It's completely unnecessary and is destroying creativity. Just look at how much AI slop is all over YouTube and AI "music" on spotify. As we know, greedy billionaires like Bezos and Musk will use it to make things even worse and themselves richer in the process. Not to mention the destruction it is causing to the environment and water, whilst half the country is in a drought.

Deep fake videos are being generated by AI. Doctors giving health advice or miraculous cures. It is getting difficult to know the real from the fake.

Not for me..
When you need Ai to help you with tasks that you should be already able to do there is a problem...
Get off your phones, the zombies walking in the street, read a proper book with pages,
write with a pen and stop taking short cuts.

I’m not scared of AI in itself but the people behind it and using it scare the bejesus out of me. The recent reports from OpenAI & Anthropic where rogue AI models broke out of a supposed safe environment (sandbox) & hacked Hugging Face and other sites to obtain answers to obscure questions should put the fear of God in everyone.
Imagine AI being asked to find a way to bring the banking system down or disrupt air traffic control, be afraid, be very afraid.
