A 12month extension on lower end wages maybe.

He's certainly not worth the bumper one he's probably on at the moment (Orta handed those out like confetti).

Llorente was on £100k a week according to Kinnear BA will be on more than people think.

Brenden has 60 caps under his belt.

Around 75 Premier League appearances.

Played in all of our championship games in our title-winning season.

Scored 40 goals at a decent level.

Footballers with those CV credentials don't come cheap, he is a Premier League player.

I watched on a split screen with the Conor One Leeds watch along in a second window. The wave of attacks on Muharemović, in the live chat, was relentless, shocking, and disgusting, as Leeds went 2-0 down. "Sack him" "get rid of him" waste of money" and much worse. Many of these comments have since been removed by the mods. Who are these people and do they exhibit cartoonish, panicked over-reaction to every minor setback in their own daily lives?

Leeds United Americas has dozens of chapters (47, actually) around the USA, Canada, and Mexico. We paid for a big brick near the foot of the Bremner statue. I took the worst selfie ever lying on my back next to it. Our American following is not nearly as large as the clubs loved by front-running fans (Liverpool, ManU, Arsenal, City) but it is quite substantial and growing.

Their official shirt has just gone on sale with all proceeds going to the Hope & Heroes Childhood Cancer Fund.

Prior to possible signing. “We want Brandt as he could be the difference between success & failure. He will unlock defences”.

After he signs for Ajax. “Geriatric clogger. Good riddance as didn’t want him anyway. Too old and not up to the Premier League intensity”.
Schrodinger's Brandt.

We won't know until the box opens in the Netherlands.

I take it you don't know that the 'PSV' in PSV Eindhoven actually stands for Pink Stuff Vanish as they were founded before the company split into two.

BA is reportedly on £45k per week so you would think there is plenty of room for negotiation. I suppose you'd have to work out what other clubs would be willing to pay him wages wise and whether we were willing to pay similar. You then have to factor in whether it is worth paying those wages or whether it makes more sense to let him leave and then buy a replacement and what the replacements wages would be etc.

That for me would be why I'd look to extend his contract. To get better is likely gonna cost a sizeable fee and also likely be on higher wages. Given our finances it makes more sense to prioritise on other areas of the squad.

It took my subconscious mind 3 hours to realise that your comment was an important contribution that should not be overlooked.

Plenty of very very average players had long Premier League careers and played fairly regularly for poor international sides.

Largely because they run around a lot (as he does) and talked nicely to the boss.

Decent level is stretching it.

About 80% of his goals or assists were Austrian Bundesliga, MLS and Championship.

And look at the international teams he scored against or assisted.
Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad, Oman, Honduras, Costa Rica etc.

He is worthy of a low wage contract and 1 year extension at most.

And before you shout at me it's not slagging him off

It's being totally honest about the level of player he is and where we want to be as a club.

You should see Jack Harrison as a warning, his club cv was actually far better, look how that worked out.

Players have a ceiling, BA is past his now imo and ruthlessness is vital at this level.

You don't tie down Players like Brenden Aaronson to expensive new contracts in the Premier League, you thank them and move them on at the correct time.

Which is either now or in 12 months.
Signed

Jaydog wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 11:41 am The BBC summary of the game was a classic.
It was a game of “whatever you do don’t mention the team that isn’t Liverpool”. No description of any Leeds goal just wittering on about Iraola.
Was interesting to hear Iraola hates this time of year as all the players aren’t back in yet and he still doesn’t know who might not be coming back at all.
Well if he doesn’t know what chance do any fans have…
I read that piece this morning & if I hadn’t watched the game I wouldn’t have had a Scooby who Liverpool were playing. Hopefully we can repeat the result when it counts so at least people know who the mighty Liverpool were playing 🤬
