I know mate.

Those many years when I used to travel to all of the away games, some of them were almost a 24 hour day.

I find Elland Road tiring these days, stood on your feet & jumping about with all the excitement for three hours knackerers me, then there's all the travelling.

It was a joke comment linked to a post from Sean_Nile further up the chain. His comment was in reply to my post in which I acknowledged the goals scored and the solid contribution Piroe made during the Championship promotion season.
You must have missed it :)

Nothing annoys me more than a snotty little kid imposing in my space, even when we're out eating in a restaurant or in a foyer of hotel, we were brought up to remain at the table throughout our meals. Fortunately, we plan our holidays when the blighters are at school or shall say should be at school.

How many times did fans end up in the wrong row yesterday?
It was more, or less, the usual folks around me,
but there was chaos on the steps.

I was already in situ, so didn’t affect me, but the stewards had their work cut out.

Otherwise SG90 has summarised most of my thoughts already. Tarek looks like an excellent signing, comfortable on the ball, sharp with excellent feet, and was often looking to play balls through the lines. Bornauw was solid and it would be a real loss to see him go. And Gnonto, like always, was trying to make things happen and I was impressed with his defensive work. Like Bornauw, he's another one whom really ought to be getting more minutes because he can play. I liked the look of Lienou from the kids and apart from one near costly mistake, I think is a definite talent, and certainly already has the physique for a full/wing back. Mills too has something but he definitely needs to bulk out as he will be childsplay for top-end PL defenders and they'll definitely snap him in half.
Yeah I agree about his size, but Aaronson has shown smaller players can make it at the top level. I just hope he doesn't lose what makes him special, in favour of bulking up.

On to Dublin to meet the old enemy

7.30 kick off on Wednesday and it's live on ITV, with, probably, a Manure biased commentary

From my house:

Leave on Thursday morning for the one and one-half hour flight to Chicago.
Four hour layover.
Eight hour flight to London, arriving Friday morning.
Shuttle to King's Cross.
Three and one-half hours to Leeds.
Five or six pints and a steak and ale pie at Whitelock's while waiting for check-in time at the hotel.
Up at dawn the next day to buy out the club shop before the crowd hits.
Pints at the Peacock and fish and chips at Gravely's before the game.
Scream my lungs out for a couple of hours.

I expect I'll be knackered by then.

😢 so sad - I was, but extraordinary family commitments have ridden roughshod over my plans. I sold my tickets on the internet in less than 5 seconds, so demand must be huge.

It generally is at friendlies mate, 1000s of fans entering the stadium at the same time who have no idea where their seats are situated, a recipe for chaos!
