Think there will be one main transfer and a last minute one depending on other clubs waiting for their business to end or if they can’t get rid for the price they want .

21 man squad now with Perri on his way. That's not enough for me and we don't have the strong 21's we did in Orta's day.

We need 4, I feel we need a full squad. I'm guessing a keeper is getting very close now but we seem to only able to work on one at a time and if he takes till Tuesday that might be it.

Be a backup keeper and that’s our lot - happy with the 1st team as is but 2 or 3 key injuries would be a problem.

2 I think. A back up keeper and then probably a loan either defensively or up front (including wide/att mids). 3 at the most

True but I think the players we have are more adaptable and can play more positions than previously.
Part of that is the change in system which is more flexible than of mid November last season.
I’d like three more tbh, but ok with two if that’s the case.

Indeed. And whilst our U21s might have been better under Orta our actual first team squad was unbelievably weak. Tyler Roberts the cover for midfield and attack. Dallas covering just about every position etc.

We actually have a strong first team squad now 20+ players that could all start and not make the team significantly weaker (gk and cf the exceptions if Trafford or DCL got injured). Under Orta we were probably only had around 14 or 15 players at the club that were good enough to be considered first team standard.

Goal keeper appears to be done I think it will be an offensive player we are looking for - the position may depend on what is available and realistic. Might be a loan, I think the Mudryk loan is still an option.

I think we will only sign a backup keeper but ideally need cover for Gabby and DCL. i think we could cope with a long term injury in most positions but our cover up front is very bare and we may need Justin's versatility across the back 5 so a specialist left footer would be useful.

Lets say we lose Rodon, Ampadu, DCL, Okafor and Bogle, on for 4/5 games. (Very possible, happened to a couple of teams last season ) We probably have enough to get by first team wise but the bench is going to look very lightweight and we should understand by now the good use of the bench is key for any successful team

Losing 6 players for wahtever reason (and we lose Tanaka in Jan) would leave us, atm, with a 4/5 player bench.

So you're saying that we might not be ready for an extremely low percentage situation? Maybe a 1%-5% chance of losing that many starting players, for that long, all at once. But for another $30-$50 million we can solve that problem? Personally, I would assume that risk.
