The events throughout the window point to a tough situation with the wage bill - I’m sure loads of bonuses were handed out last year for survival + new contracts given out. We don’t seem to be getting fees for players and are happy to send them out on loan which suggests a desperation to get them off the bill. Similar to last year we are not entering the loan market either which seems baffling but they more than likely prefer to use the little spare we have on contracted players.

Surely we tried to use Ramazani in a bid to get Fleming or is that link nonsense?

Either way, looks like we should move on from this Mudryk saga. Looking increasingly likely we're ending the window with a light squad and hoping we don't have too many long term injuries nor sequential injuries/suspensions

I'm trying to work out if we've had a good window or not if there's no more business bar Willy going to Italy and as it stands

Trafford for Perri.. 55M out inside 12 months, nothing back. But yes, huge upgrade

Muha for Struijk - Struijk was one of our players of the season, huge shoes to fill. Roughly 20M went out, it looks an upgrade at moment but not a huge one

Elvedi for Bornauw. 8M out, unsure it's an upgrade as Bornauw didn't put a foot wrong last season or in preseason this

Wilson for Piroe and Gnonto if he goes - Two for one in terms of salary, I'd argue Gnonto is better than Wilson but add very solid depth at goalscorer in Piroe and it's probably not an upgrade

Zetterer for Darlow, toss up but we pay 4.2M extra

We did get stronger at keeper but for me that's all we can say for sure... The squad depth is weaker

Looks like we'll be going with what we have.
Not really sure I agree the squad is actually smaller than last year though as is being claimed.

We're a thousand % better off in the goalkeeping dept, and although LB backup wouldve been nice, we have upgraded from Struijk and Bornaauw.

Plenty of midfield options - so not too bad there.

My real concern now is losing Willie with no goalscoring options added.

We really needed a Juiian Brandt as attacking midfield, and we really need another goalscorer. But were going to have to ramble on with DCL and Nmecha now.

So formation is going to be key. We must play 2 upfront in my view and we must allow Wilson and Stach to play more forward.

I said I had concern over new signings coming in,and I still have them looks like we got cover at LB in Bard who is he ???.
We still need proper comp for DCL cos I honestly don't think he will have the same season as last .
We need comp for Okafor also ,at this present time we are a weaker team than last season imo .
We are stronger in def,but not in mid field or up front .

Since they sat on the bench most of the time the bench is weeker but you can't say the team is weeker since they rarely played

I don't understand why we don't get Flemming from Burnley i think he would do well for us,by the sounds of it he wants out of Burnley as well.

we need to ALL OUT for a DCL back up and a player capable to replace DCL if he loses form etc- Flemming or the number 9 at Swansea.
