Yes, lovely yoing man, but his value has diminished for us since we got promoted.

No doubt talented, but he had a few more weaknesses than many jere wpuld admit.

He was prone to a few huge and consequential errors. He will mature, but needs time on the field which we cant give him now.
So good move, I think, for Willie. He is in a league somewhat below the PL imo and will do well. Bit like Piroe in my view.

Agree. The priority is to get the formalities sogned before deadline. The soft and fluffy can come later.

About to say this is a similar deal to the one Orta/Rads et al got heavily condemned for. JKA being a very highly rated young player as is Bohoya. Christ even Messi called JKA one of the hottest prospects in europe..

I recall this board proudly claiming this board would never make a deal like that.... well sounds like we just did

For the record I never criticized the JKA signing at any time

I like to think that JKA could have been an asset to us but moving to the UK and then to experiencing lockdown were huge factors. We know he suffered during that spell.

No we didn't: we lost a player who needs regular football. H ewouldn't get it here. I love Gnonto bnut maybe he wasn't as good as we thought he was going to be. Daniel didn't think so. He has had chances but never looke4d like he did 3-4 years ago when he looked brilliant. I hope Gnonto has a great season and comes back ready to claim a place in the first 11 I really do but I don't think it's going to happen...

Considering his age Gnonto has all the time in the world to fulfil his obvious potential.

He had a manager here who preferred others, it made no difference how Gnonto played or they did.

Personally I remember Willy as a very bright spot in that awful relegation season.

He had his issues here but he was also exciting to watch.

Will watch his career with interest and wouldn't be at all shocked if he ended up at a Champions League club soon

Partly agree, not Wilson though - a way more mature player who reads the game very well. Will be a real asset imo.
Never understood why Aaronson gets to start so much.

But we need to move on - nothing is static.
Willie was a real asset for a time, but clearly just didnt fit overall. Got to trust the manager on this one - he knows more than we do about behind the scenese, training, etc.

The replacement we have - assuming its done is at least equally exciting with maybe more potential, given his stats.

In the OPINION of you and the Subhuman! And probably some others. But a LOT of other people around here disagree with you. We see him the way the coaching staff apparently see's him. As a talented, but limited player at this level. And a player that is probably surplus to requirements given better options.
