I'm not sure we got a proper look at him and perhaps he didn't get the kind of run that he needed. From what I so his performances were too exotic for me - not in a good way - so I'm not too bothered he's seems to on the way out the door.
For me it's a case of putting your trust in the guy that selects the team. It's about opinions and there's a limit on how many players can be picked (obviously ). We had a good season last time out. Our team is looking better / stronger at the moment ready for the new season. My point is - if Daniel Farke is happy to let Perri go then so be it.

I do think Perri had potential.
I also don't think our goalkeeper coaches have been much good for years as said before.
Darlow had the benefit of years and years of getting used to the league.
No hard feelings towards Perri and wouldn't surprise me at all of he went on to have a decent career.
That's why I think it is far better that we simply get a journeyman keeper in rather than Perri, someone used to english football and is happy to play second fiddle.
I think he could be an okay keeper but can't see him ever being top class.

The trouble there though is that for Perri to get better I think he would need to be playing every week. As a back-up keeper he won't get that, especially if we go out of the Carabou cup early. I then thinkhe gets even more jittery as he is getting no games so would be a huge liability if then thrown into the first team.
He only had 1 season playing top flight football. Who knows a season as Torino's no.1 might be perfect for him and he develops. There is a bit of talent there but for where we are, and what we paid, we cannot afford to gamble on a dodgy keeper. Meslier in net last season and I feel we would have got relegated, same if Perri had stayed in. Darlow was exactly what we needed in terms of a keeper doing most of the basics rights and making it so we weren't gifting goals away.

Well you can only sell players that others are willing to buy. The squad is improving we have a good season and there will be interest in quite a few of the current squad. Careful what you wish for - we may struggle to hang onto the real quality we have, if their head is turned.
I am happy with the exception of Struijk that we are concentrating on off loading fringe players. This is a Necessary cycle to improve depth and quality. We haven’t done bad this window, but hard to get meaningful money on players near the end of their contracts, particularly when they have not been in the limelight for various reasons.

Valid point. I’ve just watched the Men in Blazers interview with DCL where he openly states he needed a new challenge from Everton. Pascal said the same about moving to Brighton. James Trafford is only a sprog in goalie years - can I see us holding onto him in 4-5 years time? Not unless we are serious contenders by then. Same applies with Tarik.
