Personally, I think we paid WAY too much money for him. So management must see him as a project. And like Georginio, they will take their time with him.
I think they must see something in him to make yhe bench. Possibly, if its a tight game to come on against a tiring defence, and run riot with his pace. As for goals Farke's system may well provide a freedom to play that he's not had before, time will tell.

I should have been more clear. But that's a LOT of scratch for a non-obligatory loan. Seems more like a down payment to me.
It sort of is and isn't. A lot to pay if we then decide against buying him but then equally if it gets to the point where we don't want to buy him then at least we have only wasted £1.7m instead of £20m+.

As it is he gives us back up and the squad depth. It may be that if DJ gets injured then Bahayo takes his role - and similarly if say Okafor got injured it may be that DJ takes his role. So all it takes is an injury or two and then suddenly he could become our only pacey player, or first call when we want/need to inject some pace into the side.

At present we only have the one injury, Rodon. As such Bahoya may well just have to bide his time. I'm sure at some point injuries will bite and proper opportunities will arise.
