Yes to both.
Trafford definitely and James Justin is just the type of utility defender that you need for tournament football.

I don't see JJ being in the squad but certainly a valid point about his versatility being ideal for being in a tournament squad.

I don't think Tuchel will consider Justin, I'll be surprised if Trafford isn't called up but he will definitely be considered imo

Deary me, three polls and a third of the Leeds team would be playing for England if we all voted yes.
I can fully understand our elevated position in the league may have generated optimism, but remind me the last time one club had 4 players in the England team.

I think should both be in his thoughts as the pair of them are performing very well currently. I would guess the issue with JJ is, he is not a household name and hasn't been subject of a huge transfer fee.
But we will find out tomorrow for sure

Imagine the 2028 Euros
Four Leeds players in the England squad.
Three in the Welsh squad
And five or six of our European stars playing for their respective countries.
That could be the scenario if all the current squad are still at Leeds.
It will be a better watch than this summer's World Cup.

I wonder if bet365 would give you odds on all of the players in the Leeds first team would be representing their separate countries in the Euros?1964white wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2026 4:48 pm It's coming Rab.

Why not Justin?
James is versatile & one of our most consistent players in the team, rarely scores under 7/10.
Came to Leeds as a back-up full-back & is a permanent fixture in our First XI, even though the competition around him is sheer quality.
Justin is currently keeping an international defender with 70+ caps out of the team.
Arguably our most underrated player.

Tactics mainly I'd think.1964white wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2026 6:59 pm Why not Justin?

England don't use a back 5 and being full back in a back 4 or centre back is totally different to a back 5.
Could do it for his Versatility but it's the same thing, versatile in roles the international team don't use
Never know of course but I'd be surprised
Personally I wouldn't be benching Bijol for anyone regardless
But I don't think same as DCL he really suits the system, in fact he suits it even less as he doesn't even fit the formation
He's done well for us considering of course.
But even if it was a Versatility thing I'd imagine Tuchel would go for Reece James for example.

I don't think so, JJ is playing for Rodon as his speed gives us a quick right sided CB that can get forward. When Rodon gets back JJ drops out
IMO right now it's either or for Elvedi and Bijol
