Without any doubt in my mind.

Ampadu, a captain on the pitch, in the dressing room & outside Leeds United.

A great speaker on TV interviews, unlike some of the dickheads in the media.

I went for Liam Cooper. Took a long time before I got to like and appreciate him. For ages I referred to him as Calamity Cooper! However, he played through some very adverse times and stuck at it and over time started to pull the team into line and help his team mates along the way. Gave it his 100% and led us to promotion after so ling in the wilderness. A true legend for me.

Ampadu is growing radidly into an excellent leader but at the mo he is relatively new to the job and isonly just starting to stamp his authority.

Cooper in second place for me, but a decent shout, Phoenix.

Cooper for he guided through the difficult covid era saw us regain our preemiership status really helped players settle in. If one player has the the side before self motto it was him,Always had time for the fans off the pitch met him many times away from elland road and was a true gentleman .

Cooper for me as well.

Maybe not the best player but was captain during the most difficult period, did what Amps did first in more difficult circumstances

Best captain is Cooper, best player who’s captained is Ampadu

It seems some of our members are not keen on our current players.

Not that for me and I didn't rate Cooper as a player particularly but as a Captain on and off the field (especially off) he apparently was exceptional.

If you based it as a player Ampadu is above him and Amps seems very respected and liked as well

But as an overall Captain Cooper was apparently brilliant.

During covid and through all that.

Raphinha of all people just a few months ago went out of his way to gush over Cooper as a Captain.

Good enough for me

Cooper is a decent choice, but I prefer to look to the future rather than in the past.

Ampadu came to us as a raw product & had endured three relegations prior to joining us.

Ethan has been instrumental for us since day one of his tenure at Leeds as a player & a leader.

I wouldn't have any other captain from the current Premier League clubs ahead of Ampadu right now,

Yep.

Ampadu and Cooper are the only two choices here, but Ethan edges it for me. A truly outstanding individual.

It's fair enough to pick Ampadu.

Was best player last season I felt (wish he'd stop this box to box nonsense this)

No issues with anyone voting for him.

But if someone like Raphinha praises Cooper as a Captain years after he left that's good enough for me in this case.

The best player we've had in decades specifically crediting Cooper as a person for how he settled is imo a massive plus in this case.

Toss up between Cooper and Amps. Cooper was a great leader on the pitch and in the dressing room. Hence why he was one of the first names on the team sheet before Farke arrived. Although many on here moaned about his inclusion as a starter on a weekly basis.

Which also applies to Amps since he joined and was given the arm band. Except no one is suggesting he does not warrant a starting place. This is why I opted for him, he is not only a great leader but an essential component of the starting 11.

The question was somewhat ambiguous, Cooper was an outstanding captain, motivational, inspirational and a true leader. Ampadu is the much better player and a solid captain.

For me that means Cooper wins "best captain"
