I do think last year's champions will go down as Coventry are leaking goals.
So at least one of the three (maybe two) to be relegated

Very doubtful all 3 will survive, at best 2 will , but more likely only one will, the season has only just got going, experienced PL teams will dig deep at some point....
apart from spurs, palace and fulham of course.

At least one to go down, unless there is a total capitulation by some established teams or us and Sunderland.
Based on us keeping an even keel throughout the season and DCL staying relatively fit, I predict us to draw at least twenty games.

They’ve certainly made it a lot more interesting early doors but it’s not unusual for teams to come up and find some early results through sheer grit and determination- Sunderland did it last year to an extent but had the luck and quality to see it out well in the end. I can’t see Hull keeping it going they simply don’t have the quality to call upon, Coventry as well look short and won’t move much beyond where they are now. Ipswich do have some good players though and I think they’ll find enough in games to get the results to keep them up.
It all depends on the legacy clubs though - Fulham look to be struggling as do palace to some extent. Forest shouldn’t be anywhere near bottom but to not yet score a goal at home signals a deeper problem. Spurs won’t be down there long though I’ve certainly said that before.

I for one wouldn't be against all 3 staying up, be nice to see any 3 from the following get relegated :
sunderland, spurs, fulham, palace, forest, scum.
What we need to bear in mind is that man city will probably be amongst the 3 so that leaves the 2.
Unless they relegate 4, now that would be funny if say spurs finished 17th again

Re: Hot Take of the Day - All three newly promoted clubs to avoid relegation -
The "tipping point" for top-flight survival has traditionally hovered around 61 goals conceded. Statistically, the average team finishing 17th (the final safe spot) ships roughly 60 goals, whereas teams dropping into 18th place average nearly 63. Leaking 70+ goals pushes a team deep into the danger zone.
Highest amount of goals conceded so far this season (lost 3 games or more)
17 Crystal Palace
15 Ipswich
14 Newcastle
14 Coventry
14 Sunderland
13 Bournemouth
If this trend of leaking goals continues & the above teams fail to stop the rut at the back, three of these clubs could end up in the bottom three.
Multiply by 5 & after 35 games with three matches to play
85 Crystal Palace
75 Ipswich
70 Newcastle
70 Coventry
70 Sunderland
65 Bournemouth
Footnote
Only two clubs in Premier League history have survived relegation after conceding 75 or more goals in a single season. Wigan & Bielsa's Leeds both conceding 79 goals.

I'd be happy with three of those six clubs going down.Bon wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2026 2:30 pm I for one wouldn't be against all 3 staying up, be nice to see any 3 from the following get relegated :

I think Coventry & Hull will probably drop, small squads and lack of recent experience at this level.
Hopefully along with the City cheats
