I'd give Grayson credit for us being 4-1 up, and equally I'd give him a large part of the blame for us losing 6-4. Particularly as he had a halftime break at 4-2 to motivate/rearrange his players, and it seems like little of either was done. This is surely why we bought someone like Amdy Faye, a steady head who can slow things down and protect the defence. Let's be honest, we've got in Howson and Johnson two central midfield players whose instinct is to attack. No wonder the defence was under siege.

I reckon HIggs could do with a break. Any keeper who ships 11 goals in 4 games must be having a crisis of confidence. Our defence is poor, but did Higgs actually make a save all night? I wasn't there, but it sounded like the only times Preston didn't score was when they missed the target. Also Faye must start on Saturday, otherwise by the time he gets into his stride his contract will be up!

Well that was humiliating...Grayson is tactically inept at times...this performance plus the one at Barnsley are a growing concern...how he can play Howson and Johnson together ahead of Killa baffles me...and Higgs needs to be moved on...i am in shock

what a disgrace! players were let fall asleep at half time, should of come out with the attitude that the game was 0-0 and start all over again rather than patting each other on the backs. I can handle getting a hammering off a team who are better than us but we showed we are so much better than preston.

Simon is staying! He's a good, promising manager with a lot to learn.
Give him some time. I think we should just sit back and enjoy this season, without expecting too much. For me, I think this season is all about consolidation, because if we got promoted, we would be destroyed next season in the premiership and come straight back down.
Results like the one from last night do happen from time to time, and since were not going to be fighting off relegation this season, we should all just have a laugh and forget a bout it. There are major problems in our defense and the defensive side of midfield, but Im sure it will come right eventually, and in 2 or 3 seasons we'll be back in the prem for good

Every fan realised we required a quality defensive midfield & should have been made a priority signing during the summer so what does Grayson do, he brings in a DM during September who hasn't played for two years & not match fit, oh & he was a cheap option of course

I think it's a little early to be questioning the signings, particularly the ones that have yet to play! We certainly looked for the cheap options I agree but there is enough quality in our squad to consolidate in the championship this year.

I can understand why we started with the same lineup as the weekend (as we didn't concede) but surely grayson must have seen the problems with thye midfiled during that game!!

Substitutions baffle me so he has to take some of the blame!

I agree that Greyson has made some questionable signings. But i think for the most part, they have been OK.

Bruce and Schmeichel are the best buys so far I think.

Uncle Ken also hasnt given him a lot of money to work with, so its understandable he been buying players on the cheap, and signing free players.

Faye might even turn out to be the bargain of the season (if he ever plays) lol

And theres still Nunez and Paynter ... we shall see ...

Hello everyone.

I'm still completely shocked and disappointed from lasts nights result. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. Think about this:

-Grayson got us into this league and so far (bar Barnsley and last night) he's done very well.

-Also it's only 3 points lost last night in a long long season.

-And out of last night's back 5, if we had no injuries, how many would have started? I think probably only 1(Collins or Bruce). So we were playing with a weakened defence.

But don't get me wrong chaps, something needs to change at the weekend. Personally I think pump Kasper full of magic beans so he can play, bring in Faye and bring back Watt. Play the ball to the feet of Watt and Sam, not long-balls. Use Gradel from the bench.

In the summer we spend what little money we seem to have on a striker we then don't play ( McCormack) . Clearly the defence wasn't up to it for the second half of last season ,and what has SG done other than sign players who other championship clubs released ! Are any of them actually any better than what we already had ? Shipping 6 goals at home for the first time ever ( or certainly in living memory ) is simply a disaster and that after the Barnsley fiasco . I think Macca got the sack for less ! The buck stops with SG . He's the manager. Time to deliver or go .

Thank goodness most fans have laughed at the suggestion of replacing Grayson. I'm still shocked at the number of knee jerk panickers - I'd have loved to see their reaction when Revie just missed relegation to Div 3 in his 2nd season. As an interesting test, can I ask the panickers who they'd bring in to replace Grayson?

Simon stays, he warned the players about Parkin etc, Faye needs to start and Larry needs to drop one of his favourite midfielders as he cant have 3 attacking centre midfielders on the pitch. Hughes was s**t, caught out everytime, bruce did well for about 25 mins then lost the plot, Collins was s**t. Think Somma is a real gem of a player though
