Why did we sing the Becchio/Berbatov song at they end of the Scunny game when the players were lapping up a great victory with the fans
Howson was the MOTM & duly got his name sang in the end
Becchio had an average game & we sing a song about him, the facts are not true btw
Surely we should be singing collective team song such as MOT, We are Leeds, We all love Leeds, Glory glory Leeds United, etc apart from There's only one Jonny Howson that was thoroughly deserved

Our fans are obsessed with Becchio
I think they are obsessed with scum tbh. Becchio is just another way to have a pop. The Becchio chant has had it's day imo. Given a choice who would you sign

Team game. A proper captain like Howson wont mind. But here's the really interesting bit - there are lots of folk who have yet to wake up to Howson. For some reason blind prejudice kicks in. waccoe hates Howson from memory. You see it all around you . . . .

PROPER CAPTAIN? :hahaha:
Yes, he scored a hat trick yesterday....add that to to Carlisle goals in the play offs and the pass to Becks for the goal at scum and the Norwich promotion game goal.
THERE, you have the sum total of this lad's career.
Not even a "what did the Romans do for us" situation....
I do want the lad to prove me wrong - very much so. But FOUR (or is it five?) years in the squad and he still only shows up once or twice a season.

That's the case WR, once the fans decide that they dislike or like a player, they very rarely change their minds. And its easy to carry on with the belief that their judgment is right because no player is perfect and while we may say it, no player is rubbish because they wouldn't have made the grade this far if they were. So the player will do good things and bad things, and the fans will remember whichever suits them best.
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.

Of Course it matters, the wrong player was taking the plaudits praise
Could have understand it after the Middlesbro' game for his superb strike that won us the game
Your'e having a laugh along with the rest of the Leeds fans who chant this song at every opportunity
It was Howson's day yesterday
Im one of Howsons biggest fans, Ive always said he should permanently be Team Captain, but exactly what Howson chants do we have? It was only a week or so ago that everyone on here was moaning that we dont chant and sing enough. So as I said as long as we are making some noise it doesnt matter what we sing.
Howson was captain yesterday, Howson scored a hat-trick yesterday and Howson was man of the match yesterday, he knows the fans will have loved him for that and I dont think it will have bothered him one bit who the fans chanted for. You only need to look at his face after the goals, he loved every minute of it. Yes, it was his day and he knew that.
Leeds is in my blood, always will be.
Going Up, Going Up, Leeds are going up, na na na na na na na na

And you forgot the two Leeds goals of the 2009/10 season at Hudderfield & Bristol Rovers at ER, without those goals we would still be playing in League One
In the big games he is usually the one who has made the difference. Name another Leeds player that has made vital contributions in as many games. Don't forget that in addition to his goals he also set up Gradel's goal on Saturday as well.

I've pretended to support a team that's been crap for most of my life as part of a long term plan
