It's at the discretion of the loaning team. Arsenal gave him permission to play.

he worked hard, but some of his passing today was straight to the arsenal players. But you can see why he was confused

I wish he hadn't played. He showed his arsenal colours tonight with his lack of passion for Leeds. Pillock can fekk off back to cockneyland. It's where his heart is. NOT at Leeds. in that game

I agree with Twiggs....he was off colour tonight.
Team as a whole played ok...but gulf in class showed....but we all know that...the only way is UP for Leeds. :)

I definitely saw a lack of workrate from him in the first half.which led to Ben being isolated.

Young players can lose heart when overrun and his inexperience showed.

He played well away so i just see it as inconsistency.

He has been used to being the fastest, most skillfull player on the pitch in this league. Up against Arsenal he wasnt and was chased down for every ball, his head went down but I dont think it was lack of commitment or because Arsenal are 'his team'. He was well up for this tie and wanted to play well to impress Arsenal. He played a belter against Scunthorpe as well which is in reality what matters.

Lets not be throwing insults about because we have been beaten by a clearly better side in a competition that does not matter to us this season. Thats just f**king juvenile.

In the first game against Arsenal Watt played alongside Johnson. He worked hard and won the ball, then showed good distribution or ran with it. Spot on performance.
Last night, Howson and Watt had swapped roles. Howson played alongside Johnson and Watt played just behind Paynter.
Being further forward, he saw little of the ball, because they had most of the possession.
Not really his fault any more than Paynters.
He should have been utilised deeper again.
I'd sign him now if i could. Him and Johnson together were superb in the first leg.

I rate him!

Okay he had an off game, But still shown a couple of times what he is capable of IMO. You cant seriously think he was playing for arsenal though ?

If anything, Last night proved he is nowhere near the quality Arsenal already have in there midfield. Get him signed!

The game at the Emirates though was a total different game for him, He made a good account for himself there imo. Maybe he felt more at home LOL!

Anyway... Were out of the cup now, 2 cracking games against an AWESOME team. And Simon has some money in his pocket to make some signings.

Lets push on where it matters and gain promotion to the EPL Via 1st place :P
We are so proud,

We got him on loan so he would do a job for us in the Championship, not blow everyone away playing against world-class players at his parent club. I agree with Adam. Saying he wasn't playing with his heart in it etc etc is pretty sad when you consider how well he has performed for us this season in general.

I thought Watt was bloody awful - he was Arsenal's 12th man. He walked more than he ran, but unbelievably lasted 80 minutes on the pitch. Wtf is up with that?
