Re: Transfer Deadline Day
A minute passed. Then another. Then, another minute. Then... another minute passed. Then another minute passed. And another. A further minute passed quickly, followed by another minute, when suddenly, a different minute passed, followed by another different minute. And another. And yet another further different minute. A minute passed. I glanced at my watch. It was a minute past. This was it. A minute passed. After a moment, another minute passed. I waited a minute while a minute passed quickly past. And then, a minute which seemed to last an hour but was only a minute... passed.

Got a text from my whisper on Saturday about this, but we both reckoned it was horseplay by a certain Leeds player, spreading rumours! I mean, without Collins, we have no back up at CD.Toby wrote:YESSSS Collins is going! worse defender i've ever seen. ever.

Naylor is back so Collins can go, at least when naylor makes a mistake he puts it right and we never conceded the amount with him at the back

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
re defensive cover it's tight but do-able. Bromby, Naylor, Parker, and a hopefully fit soon Kisnorbo covering the RB/CB/LB positions.
Naylor in my opinion has been tarred perhaps a little prematurely. He made the the mistake of coming back too soon after injuries. Hopefully he's got his fitness right now and can provide solid backup. Bromby is still a bit of an unknown quantity for mine, excellent against QPR but woeful for the Portsmouth goal.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
Naylor hasnt been fully fit for 18 months IMO and Bromby has done better than Collins when given the chance.normangunston wrote:re defensive cover it's tight but do-able. Bromby, Naylor, Parker, and a hopefully fit soon Kisnorbo covering the RB/CB/LB positions.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
Was surprised we signed a goalkeeper, and surprised he'd come over from City. Quotes from Simon seemed to suggest he'll compete with Kasper - might be Higgs is too far off to be in contention and this will mean we get the best out of whichever of Schmeichel and Gonzalez that plays. Might...
Collins very expendable at this point I suppose. Hopefully there's something in it that says Kisnorbo is not a million years away. Anyhow, that and a few of the other departures serve to trim the squad a little bit and no harm in that.
Curious if we'll see more action before it's over, have a feeling we might well.
