Just about to settle down for my annual watch of one of my favourite musicals at 3.30pm on BBC1 loved it since i was a kid

True grit - brilliant remake, never had the pleasure of the original.
The fighter - Modern classic - though some are saying the movie should of included wards "fights of the year"
127 hours - So-so, Kept my attention but just barely. Not worth a trip to the cinema.
Scott pilgram Vs the world - modern internet and gamer humour. Alright if you like this kind of thing but was a bit full on for my liking and weird.
Devil - stook in a lift with the devil - really enjoyed this.
Black swan - Sloooooooooooooooooooooow burner, only go to the cinema if your in a relaxed mood for this one.

Movies - many of the ones alreasy mentioned, but if you get the chance to see a film called Pathfinder - about the good old Vikings clashing with Native Americans during their invasion of the continent - do!

I watched it on Sky previous and went and got the DVD. Put it on widescreen via 5.1 surround sound and it was the most visceral thing I have EVER watched.

On TV I like series such as Sons of Anarchy, White Collar, Castle, House and Grey's Anatomy - the latter two brought my way by the one true love of my Life - now gone - so warm soft memories with those, although I enjoy them in their own right.

Have Sky series-linked Justified and October Road cos the reviews were good, but not actually watched them yet!

FILMS (the ones I never tire of seeing again): All the Peter Sellers "Pink Panther" series....NO comedy films have ever come close - All the Sean Connery "James Bond" films...Connery WAS James Bond - ALL of Mel Brook's films..totally OTT and brilliantly arranged and produced - Easy Rider and Woodstock for the music and because they typify the youth situation in the late 1960's - Most of the films that Ed Wood directed...film noir at its freakiest and regularly featuring the acting genius that was Bela Lugosi - "Spaghetti Westerns"! I love 'em! :mrgreen: - "Good Morning Vietnam"...my favourite Robin

Sean Connery is by far the best JB. Absolutely no debate! :thup:

Got all the james bond films from hmv,bargain £60, down from 200!!

Depends on where you get your James Bond from. Yes if you have never read the original books Connery is probably the best. However, if you have taken time to read the books then Craig is by far the best cast for it.

White Collar is good but Castle is a bit dodgy. Not a fan of Grey's Anatomy

of the recent serials, The Event stands out, House is stunning especially the season which incorporated a reality type scenario,

Top 5 movies ( I have two movie rules If it's a Hitman Movie watch it. If it's a Gangster movie avoid it)

The female detective in Castle is "hot" and Grey's does tug on my emtions for some reason. I cannot watch it with anyone else around now given the memories it holds for me.

I think Sky Atlantic is going to become the main channel for me if the trailers are anything to go by.

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but Heat is a classic movie I can watch over and over and Crash - as well as a good film - has a decent soundtrack. Heat, too, for that matter, now that I think about it (my intro to Terje Rypdal).

Unstoppable with Denzel washington.

Great movie, I download a great copy and me and the lass watched it, i remember and older film about a runaway train It was set in the winter...
All in all id give it 7/10 as i have seen run away movies before but for a first timer this is good stuff.

I saw Black Swan last week which was ok, but I thought very predictable and not up to all the hype it's received recently... Looking forward to PAUL in a couple of weeks too, appeals to the nerd in me :p

I'm a big fan of Pegg and Frost's work together. It'll be interesting to see what they are like without Edgar Wright's involvement.
