Sky Sports
Has just been on sky sports that we could be interested in Jersy Dudek who is on a free transfer from Real Madrid plus we are expecting a bid from West Ham for Gradel.

We can't sign anyone until everyone's back from holiday...zzzz....lots of irons in the fire... we can't compete with the Prem... nothing at all about Max Gradel.

Dudek would be a perfect replacement!

Looking at some of the contributions on the topic over various LUFC messageboards, seems the average age of the posters is very youthful indeed

Probably true CSA, The Smith Bowyer & Woodgate Era is mine and many young one's best memory of success.. so thats probably why most of us would like smith back, the older posters have seen it all before so would explain why they aint that keen.

It's cos he's a goal scorer who doesn't score goals. His unit cost per goal is astronomic.
I spotted this depite my tender years

Xavi & Ineista hardly ever score but are considered the best in the world at what they do!

I had a dream last night that we signed a guy with long hair and a goatee.
That is all I have to say today.
If max gradel goes I foresee protests.

While we're on the subject of old boys returning to Leeds...
What about Matthew Kilgallon on a season long loan deal? He doesn't seem to figure in their first team plans. Also has the advantage over Woodgate of not being knackered.

Killa never reached his potential, as much as I was a fan when he was a white he never managed to get a regular game for Donny last season, is that really what we want?normangunston wrote:While we're on the subject of old boys returning to Leeds...

If Kisnorbo can keep fit then I think O'Brien, Kisnorbo, Bruce, Bromby and Lees will be strong enough.
Just read that we're looking at Longeran from Preston, imo a very decent 'keeper at this level.
Also read that we're willing to let Becchio go for 3m and replace him with . . . Emile Heskey!

He didn't do much at 'Boro or Donny when he was loaned out from Sunderland. I wouldn't mind having him back. Think he is still under contract at Sunderland? Guess he be available, whether or not he's good enough anymore is another matter.normangunston wrote:While we're on the subject of old boys returning to Leeds...

Mentions of David Stockdale coming in from Fulham on the darkside. Would be a suitable replacement, imo.

Not often you see Smith compared with Xavi and Iniesta.
Of the three, I'd like Iniesta please Mr Bates sir - specially now Killa has gone.
Bates, GFH, Cellino: Same s**t, different arseholes.

On the fringes of the England team...I agree a good signing if we can get him, only adequate if it's a loan, I'm not holding out much hope for either,Crude United wrote:Mentions of David Stockdale coming in from Fulham on the darkside. Would be a suitable replacement, imo.
