I'd have thought that for a goalkeeper, panicking in the box is a fairly major drawback - where exactly on the field does he display a calm and unhurried demeanour?

Luckily, since you revealed that this information came from the Sun - the newspaper that told us the mayhem in Norway was the work of Al Qaeda - it can be safely relegated to the realm of complete toss.

Saw on Twitter that we are rumoured to be trying to get Sanchez Watt back for 250k since Arsenal are looking to offload a few of their youngsters. Not sure what truth is in it but if he can stay fit at that price he is a decent signing.
The negative aspect may be that Bates/Grayson will then see fit to sell Snoddy to the highest bidder (Wigan?)

By the way, it seems Lonergan's daughter is/has been ill so it might help if folk at least allowed the bloke time to settle in before getting on his back. It's also true that the goals were flying in at Preston, marginally worse than ER, so the bloke needs total support. This is a good keeper who found himself behind the worst defence in the league with, it seems, problems off the field. Last thing he needs is to be used as a tool to attack Bates.

Well I for one believe this to be a good signing, no one wins two playere of the year awards without some quality at this level. playing behind what was one of the worst defences in the league last season the lad lost a little confidence.

I see Bodor remains at Thorpe Arch and doesn't travel, if we are not letting him go I see no reason for this, small injury maybe? play in the Bradford game maybe?

O'Brien, Parker, Somma (obviously) Becchio (ob.) Snodgrass also haven't travelled. Is Bessone now fit? If not I think that's White as our only fit LB...

You may have misunderstood me there riot - I wasn't attacking Bates at all, just the quality of "information" available from the Sun.

There are no guarantees, but I think Lonergan may well be a very good piece of business.
