you know, as crap as Paul Okon was at Leeds (and he was crap).. He was a great captain for Australia..... I think he was just one of those guys that when he pulled on his national team's shirt he moved up 10 notches.... I was really dissapointed when he didnt work out for us...

We had some decent players around that time... Craig Moore (Rangers Captain), Brett Emerton, Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka, Lucas Neil, Kevin Muscat (Millwall Captain), Tony Vidmar (Cardiff Captain), Tony Popovic (Captained Crystal Palace to the Premier League)...

I'm not saying he was a great player, because he wasnt, but he tried his heart out for Australia and i wont hear a bad word said about him!

I vaguely remember him in one game I haven't a clue who it was against, I remember these huge tree trunk legs as he stood over the ball at kick off, from then on in it just seemed like the balls kept flying over his head and he ran back and forth.

Was talking to a Villa fan about Lichaj and saying how well he did,he was saying that Villa have 27 pros on their books but 9 of them are young/inexperienced players and it looks like there won't be many more arrivals,so he thinks only 2 of the youngsters will be allowed to go out on loan and he'd be surprised if Lichaj would be one of them even though 6 of the squad are full backs, he'd expect Lowery to go plus 1 of the young mid-fielders,but also said that McLeish as give no indication of who he rates amongst the young uns.Don't know what the problem was with Bannan(other than he didn't want to go out on loan) but every Villa fan I talk to really rates him.
