Barring injury or long lapse of bad form, Clayton is now first choice. Given Mika's pedigree you'd think he would also figure in the first 11 most weeks. But where does this leave Howson? Perhaps he comes in for Nunez on the left?
I wouldn't mind Seeing Si play Clayton and Mika down the middle, moving Snodgrass back left and Howson on the right. narrowing up the midfiled and offering more support to the defence not playing either as wingers, just wider midfielders.... keeping Nunez as an impact player off the bench to add a bit of pace down the flanks if needed

All boils down to Howsons ability to be effective in a wide position......

Can't wait to see how Mika and Clayts gel a a central midfield pairing.
Time to move Howson back to the right wing. Snoddys crossing has been consistently poor so far this season.

Perhaps the Dutch have the same problem as the Finns they only have one sound for the letter s which is
like the sound at the end of the english word hiss

The S from Shoot SHH or the s from eyes IZ
So Shoot becomes Soot and Eyes becomes ice

Took Wolfsburg from Bundesliga champions to bottom of the table - Forest from play-offs to bottom of the table , England from respectable placing to a joke . The bloke is " unique " . Maybe the worst England manager ever - and thats taking Keegan into account too .

This is my first post so I will get back on subject

He looks a good signing, not too old, good pedigree/ experience

Does make you wonder why SG bothered signing Brown though and it doesn't address our porous defence

As we saw last season, we can't rely on our attack scoring 3 every week to guarantee a point or better
As we say in my family "It's better to be dead than red" apart from me old fella who's a Bantams fan

New CH please SG !!!!

Welcome, exCroggie!

Bit hard to assess Brown with the handful of games he's played for us..the last one whilst still recovering from injury, with just one training session beforehand.
Saw him play a couple of games for scotland and he looked solid enough!

Nice to be here

Have not got up to Elland Rd yet this season but hope too soon, besides I have come up to visit me mam

I was looking at the age thing with Brown, 34 as opposed to Mika being 29 and an international

I hope all the signing come good and we have a good season, keeping an open mind as to whether we can get promoted or not

Any thoughts on what type of player our Finnish midfielder is (based on limited on field time at LUFC) eg. main skills, physical attributes, positional strengths, in what role(s) might he fit into the team?

Looked pretty decent against Sweden the other night. Was at the end of most of the best Finnish chances - seemed to be in an advanced/attacking MF role?
Beware the fury of a patient man - John Dryden.
