So cruel after the good news recently. I just hope that the short time when he and his family were filled with hope was a truly wonderful time for them despite how it turned out.

Sad news. A Leeds fan and a Victory fan. An English cricket fan and an Aus fan in almost everything else. Passionate and intelligent, we had some interesting debates.....God bless Pete and those who love him .

The "banner" at the side of the forum is a very touching gesture. Nice one.

Hi everyone.
Just to let you know there will be a banner in the Kop tonight with Pete's name on it.
Myself and another Leeds fan from Melbourne (but currently in Leeds) made it yesterday, hopefully it does him justice.

Pete was instrumental in setting up the Members Club in Melbourne and will be fondly remembered by all Leeds fans down under.

He also played a role in the supporters scene at the Melbourne Victory Football Club in the A-League and I believe a banner will be held by the club's fans, his picture will be on the big screen and one of the players will lay a wreath in front of the home fans before the derby.

It's clear how many people he made an impact on by the level of tributes flowing in.

RIP Pete - you will be sorely missed

Just read a note from Ian (Gopher) on Facebook.... very very very sad news.

An enormous member of the MOTForum for many many years and someone who we had many fun evenings with on here he will be sadly missed.

Yet another bright WHITE star shining in the sky - RIP Pete.
