Found on waccoe;

McCormack being linked with Wigan, and has a 2.5 million buy out clause apparently. If they offer 2.5 million, I'd be happy for us to take it and sign Matt Tubs and/or Ched Evans (include Paynter in this deal!).

Re: Jan 2012 Transfer Window Rumours
Here's what information I can take from a Sun article.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez isn't interested in Leeds striker Ross McCormack.
Ross and his representative weren't at the game, infact, Ross is of the understaning that Wigan FC doesn't exist and that the only reason for the DW stadium is Rugby League.
No other teams are looking to trigger this 'release clause' because it probably doesn't exist, and if it does 2.5m is much too high of anybodys valuation of the Scot.
Ross is happy to continue at Leeds.

Re: Jan 2012 Transfer Window Rumours
why would anyone insert such a low buy out clause?
Sun BS I think.
Sun BS I think.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

probably spot on there! although, if true, and wigan offered the £2.5m then we would have to snap their hand off i think.rand3ll wrote:Here's what information I can take from a Sun article.

I agree, he's an average player who's good when in form but contributes nothing the rest of the time.ldj90 wrote:probably spot on there! although, if true, and wigan offered the £2.5m then we would have to snap their hand off i think.
10 goals from August to October, 2 since . . Says it all really.

At least safe in the knowledge that we will have a loanee/triallist lined up...1964white wrote:

This is from one of my local papers Birmingham Evening Mail
Aston Villa: Fabian Delph Leeds United loan update
Villa have yet to receive contact from Leeds United about a loan swoop for Fabian Delph, even though the Elland Road club are keen on taking back their former favourite on a temporary basis.
It is believed Villa would be receptive to the move, providing Leeds are willing to pay a significant contribution to Delph’s wages and agree to a recall clause.

Re: Jan 2012 Transfer Window Rumours
A source close to the club tells me that we're handing a trial to a Kazakhstany midfielder who could replace Clayton. He's interested in the deal as he is struggling for games at FC Okzhetpes. Grayson sees him as the ideal candidate but is one of many 'irons in the fire' . . Ironically he is a part time blacksmithGino 1959 wrote:At least safe in the knowledge that we will have a loanee/triallist lined up...

Re: Jan 2012 Transfer Window Rumours
FABIAN Delph’s loan return to Leeds has edged a step nearer after Alex McLeish confirmed Villa have now been contacted by the midfielder’s former club.
McLeish intends to speak to Elland Road counterpart and former Villa player Simon Grayson about a temporary switch for the out-of-favour youngster.
Grayson has also confirmed his interest in borrowing Delph, who burst on to the scene at the Yorkshire club before his £6million move to Villa in August 2009.
But the Leeds boss admits there are discussions to be had about what proportion of Delph’s Premier League wages the Championship club can afford to pay.
And Villa are likely to insist on inserting a recall clause in case injuries or suspensions mean Delph is needed in a claret and blue shirt.
Leeds are also interested in taking Eric Lichaj on loan again after a successful stint last season, but Villa are yet to decide about the young right-back.
“Simon Grayson did try to call me (about Delph), but I’ve not spoken to him yet,” confirmed McLeish.
“I think he’s spoken to Kevin MacDonald, so I’ll get back in touch with him.
“I don’t know about the timeframe, we’ll see.
“I’m going to speak to Paul Faulkner to see where the club lies with it also.”
McLeish admits Delph needs first-team football after falling down the midfield pecking order since his concerted early-season run in the starting line-up.

Time to stop 'Biding our time' and actually get some useful people in the club instead of being utterly incapable of keeping hold of the better ones.
'We are not a selling club'... No, and the Pope is not catholic either. I cannot even begin to express how angry I am at this sale.
