Paul, i also said i doubted the validity of the rumour which appears to have been ignored in my defence

It's not about crowing Paul, I have become a little disenchanted with certain folk thinking i'm making up stories about my club when i have access to information from at least three contacts i trust !

Shieldsy got the same treatment from our leader last night. I had total faith in Adam's information which supported a text i received from one of my contacts a couple of weeks ago & yesterday morning too !

He was never my first choice and I can't say that I really like the guy but something has got me really excited about this appointment. He is obviously a talented and experienced manager and a big personality so perhaps it will be fun with him in charge! Anyway at least we have some focus and direction now that's the main thing.

Difference is Clough was given a team which was Revies,,,,he couldnt improve on that team.
If Clough had been given shite he could have made his own team which he could have made great!
Warnock has been handed shite so maybe he CAN make a team of his own.

I dont care what anyone says Revie should never have left Leeds to be the England manager,,Clough should have been the England manager.
Trouble with Clough was, pride. Had he come and said all the things he ever said were just mind games etc, and tried to engage the team properly then things could have so very different. Your right, Revie should never have left, but the board ignored revies recommendations. Clough struggled without Taylor.

Warnock is probably the most experienced of the out of work managers and I'm pleased its him and not a cheap option.

Best man for the job. Proven track record, rated Leeds as a big club, showed a real enthusiasm for the job in his interview and has great knowledge of the game.

It's a business. Managers say what they need to say - the equivalent of players kissing the badge. He has the biggest job of his career. He knows he's landed on his feet. Best let him get on with the job. We don't want to be undermining him before he hits the dugout surely?

Warnock is probably the best available manager we could hope to get at this time of the season. But let us not forget that we torched the vaunted QPR twice last season under Sir Simon. Just saying before everyone saints our Neil. So ON ON ON to Neil and his staff, which I'll be behind as long as he is employed by the club.

I understand posting to validate the credibility of your sources and I do believe that you have some contacts that provide you with good information. Going a step further, I greatly appreciate it when you (and any other posters) share your (their) "good" information with us. It's a valued service and I think we all understand that it won't always be right

The only things I find counterproductive are when people post rumours that they really don't believe or when they say "I know a juicy rumour, but I can't tell you what it is". IMO it's best to stay mute in those situations because it's just adding more muck to the buckets full of crap info and speculation everyone as to wade through on the forums.

As one who has no contacts and receives no rumours, I'm a "beggar" and beggars can't be choosers. Still, I think we all value responsible posting, and appreciate it when our info benefactors don't tease us or feed us junk. Having said that, It's only right that I thank you and the others who had good dope on the new manager speculation.
Helplessly hoping

Twigster, can't you just let it go? A lot of us on here, either veterans or newbies, aren't Colin's biggest fans, and probably all for the same reason(s). But, we are all, whatever our view of this appointment, (hopefully) united in our love of Leeds. We weren't ever going to get a Jose or a Pep or a whomever, but what we have got is probably the best man available with a record of getting teams out of this division. What he said or did as manager of a previous club (and Yorkshire rival) sticks in the craw but, if Rangers fans can accept Mo Johnston who previously played for Celtic, or Arsenal fans can accept Sol Campbell, then I think we can stomach some previous trash talk from a man who, it appears, has always worn his heart on his sleeve and perhaps opened mouth before engaging brain. Lots of folk on here advocated Solksjar (sic?) whose pedigree needs no dissection, so let's give the man a chance. He might just do what it says on the tin and, if so, I'm prepared to let bygones be bygones. MOT!!!

In total agreement.

No one out there who could cut it in the champ and the prem was ever going to come to leeds, poyet at a push, but even then he isn't prem proven.
As far as Im concerned warnock is the best we could of ever have gotten and it was a bit of bad luck (his sacking for him) and our good luck that dropped him at our club, me thinks that is a f**king omen. Keep your EYES ON THE GOAL the goal is to get out of this s**t hole league. When we get to the prem then we can become more brutal, but trust me you will always remember the guy who got us back up there. Players and manager alike.
Listening to the guy talking today after the game he oozed experience, of grayson you would never get anything as lets say context rich spoken fluently and easily understandable, the man has the gift of the gab.

The wins to QPR when you look back our squad was a s**t hot squad, BJ - Max - Howson, snods...
Lichaj at right back who is prem quality who we all s**t a brick when he injured his hip and we could not sign him back up.
Grayson had his time, signed shite and had the rug pulled out from underneath him. Thats over with now thank f**k.
Grayson is over, Warnock is the next step and the next level, and in the prem we will naturally take that next step when required.

This is just great news and has lifted many heavy hearts and minds.
Bates is still a fu@king tool factory though money grabbing c**t.
WE''RE LEEDS UNITED, WE''LL NEVER BE DEFEATED!

Paul Green was warnobs best signing.
If you disagree please send me a PM so we can get in to a fight.

As much as I mistrust bates I find the whole "he's out to destroy us" theory as, quite frankly..... Bollocks!
If that were he case all he needs to do is sell the land to a ruthless property developer who will cease LUFC by building a laser quest and burger king on the site.
There are a shed load of methods to do it. Getting the most qualified manager available at the moment is hardly the best way to do it IMO.

Also he must read Waccoe and saw that the fans wanted Warnock! :-D

Well maybe he doesnt ,it was just a thought.

I must share an open letter which was written in Waccoe,,,its brilliant I thought.

Saggy faced sean bean turd

I wont sit behind you and fill your hood with bits of paper and pour cold tea into it honest i wont ,.

This is your chance one chance to manage the biggest club you will have ever been to , return it to the prem , enter your name in the ER books for all time .
