Leeds vs Posh
Noticed nobody had started a thread on this yet.... "barndoor Billy" scores two at last count looks like a good result....
Anybody who was there got anything to say about it? Player ratings etc.

Never in my life have I been dissapointed for a player to score for leeds. Hope this doesn't mean a contract extension for paynter

But he hasn't really ever been given a proper run... I am not saying im a fan and resources could be better spent on other players but im happy to see anyone score for us.herefordbornleedsboy wrote:Noticed nobody had started a thread on this yet.... Reckon we'll see Billy start the last 3 games now, Warnock seems pretty sure on Becchio and McCormack, but wants to look at the other strikers (Billy and Ramon). Great result, even if they are a crap team. If we win the next 3 then Summer won't be as much of a drag!

We will see, interesting he is trying different things, strang why Taylor came off at half time, see whats wrong now with Rogers. (send him on loan to Huddersfield)
Nice to see Ross scoring again! Good home win for NW...
Anyone go? What they reckon to Boyd? Worth a punt?

He's crap. scoring goals though might mean we get something for him

What is wrong with Rogers? The commentators were pretty positive about him until he picked up another unfortunate injury...Jason123 wrote:We will see, interesting he is trying different things, strang why Taylor came off at half time, see whats wrong now with Rogers. Sorry but he's had plenty of minutes in a leeds shirt and has missed a ridiculous amount of chances, one-on-ones... sitters 4/5 yards out... you name it he's missed it! As well as that he's dam slow, becchio and mccormack (somma aswell) arent two quick neither, what leeds need upfront if anything is a bit of pace! Not saying there available but someone like Luton Shelton or W.Zaha..

Not sure about shelton but Zaha is out of our league, Simon Cox, Tyrone Barnett would have being a good bet, NW wont bring a striker in the summer cant see it tbh

Re: Leeds vs Posh
Ahh easy win
Nice to see Billy score.
Strange that we could possibly finish just 3 points behind our overall total last season..
Weird old season.
BYE BYE DONCASTER AHAA, i remember them laughing at us when they went up and we stayed in League one.. hopefully we won't be seeing them for another 20 years or so.. Cya Donny.

To be honest I'd be happy with Becchio and mccormack starting upfront next season, but it would be nice to have a pacey striker on the books, someone who could come off the bench or maybe start if were playing a team lacking pace at the back.Jason123 wrote:

Mccormacks scored 18 league goals this season, your poor man's wayne rooney ;) and although becchio isn't scoring his hold up play and workrate is second to none, add to that his goal scoring quality (20 last season) some late winners this season he is one of our better players! I think his below par form this season is due to the injury he had and maybe a lack of confidence, expect him back to his best after a neil warnock pre-season!
Im sick of these three letter reply's with not a shread of evidence/thought to back there oppinions up, really does bring the forum down
and show these posters to lack knowledge/credibility..
And for the reasons I stated above, how anyone can knock becchio really does have limited knowledge on football! Leeds V west ham I had to endure this idiot sat two seats away, slate becchio/shout obscenities all game, soon shut him up when beccio scored on 85 minutes!! I see becchio as the chamiponship version of dirk kuyt, great player
