West Stand Redevopment and Casino
What do you folks think of this? How will it be funded? Will it follow the strategy used for the East Stand and be built with a loan that is part paid back with future season-ticket sales? If the East Stand redevelopment was £7 million, this sounds like a bigger job so it would be a huge investment.

Sounds like a similar layout to the East as it is now.The redeveloped West Stand would be about seven levels tall;
The stand would have three tiers of football seating, complete with new executive boxes.

Kiss your arse goodbye to any decent signings this season then. Bet Colin didn't know about this when he signed on ;)

I'm just worried about how it will be funded??CardiffWhite wrote:What do you folks think of this? How will it be funded? But sounds very positive, as long as it doesn't stop NW bring players to the club.

Riot will be over the moon, he's a big fan of investing the club's money in buildings rather than the team.
Bates, GFH, Cellino: Same s**t, different arseholes.

Sounds good. A great way of bringing in continual investment 24/7 every day and with all the car parking too it makes complete sense. And the bonus is we also get a better stand.
Very exciting news - hope the club gets it.

Re: West Stand Redevopment and Casino
All depends on how the funding is raised and even whether it will be the cub as such running it. May well be that a casino firm would basically build Leeds the stand for free in exchange for being able to use the land rent free for a few years - a bit like how a housing construction firm offered to build Macclesfield Town a brand new stadium for free as they wanted the land where the stadium was (council said no).

I'm a big fan of long term planning and investment in the club's infrastructure is a part of this - feel free to use my season ticket money Mr Bates. I'm in for the long haul.

Re: West Stand Redevopment and Casino
I would say that that scenario does not fit in with Papa Smurff's ethos! He will want the income for his company. I also saw that the plans included a 3-tier stand, bluddy hell, where we gonna find the fans to fill that???? I would imagine that a casino would be pretty much self-funding, with there being only 8 in the country. One thing that bothers me is the parking on match days, are we gonna get moved further from the stadium?weasel wrote:All depends on how the funding is raised and even whether it will be the cub as such running it. I too am a big fan of building for a secure future, but would prefer to see priorities in order to do so. Feel free to financially rape the fans of this great club and use my overpriced ticket money to literally butt-fukc me with the rough end of a pineapple
I too am in it for the long haul, as my 40 odd years of supporting LUAFC have proved. I just hope and pray Bates isn't!!
