Don't be too downhearted Ems, according to Wiki, he only managed 9 goals this season. Nowehere near as prolific in the champs as he was in League 1. Better out there, we just have to find them and fund themEmsley wrote:

too true mate, it's all well and good transfer-listing the deadwood but until some other mugs, sorry clubs buy them, we're stuck paying their wagesEmsley wrote:

Re: Transfer Rumours: Summer 2012
After all the promise and positivity we have acquired one good player so far. Granted it is still very early days, however the noises being made now are not so encouraging.
Struggling to compete with our offer for Ward, McCormack looking likely to move on and the Snodgrass situation is looking fairly dire too. We really can't afford to be having to rebuild a side literally from scratch, how does one go about replacing Snodgrass and Ross when players of that quality clearly command much higher wages than we are used to paying...

Maybe so, but he'd have to change allegiance and play for Eire, if he did go to the hoops.mchldavies7 wrote:have a wild guess...££££££
Be a bad move for us, as I don't think we'd get any compensation if he moves to porridge land?

I had a text from Ian Holloway - told me he has far less money to spend than Warnock or any recent manager of LUFC and has the lowest wage bill in the Div. but still hopes to make the top 6 again. Also told me that no club in the divison has a bigger stumbling block in charge than Oyston. I had also had an earlier text from Warnock - I think everyone got it, confirming that wages at ER were not a stumbling block and that his 8th promotion was on.
Personally I would sooner put 10 men out every week than sign Barton.

I read Holloway is not happy with Oyston
It's imperative Warnock has the resourses to play with if he is expected to build a new team !
We had monies in from the sales of Kasper/Howson/Gradel with more coming in should Ross/Snoddy/White/Clayton are sold, surely he warrants a fair % of those monies to help us build a successful team again
Do you really think i want Barton in our squad

No [wasn't my point]. That Holloway bloke signs some cracking players on the cheap. How's that work I wonder?1964white wrote:
