Speculation at its finest. The group in talks is North American based in Chicago. Yet, they no of no one other than Jerry Reinsdorf who could be interested - he's already denied it, and he owns the Chicago White Socks and Chicago Bulls. So they have no idea whatsoever. Brilliant this.

LUFC have anounced talks have taken place. But are these searious take over talks. Who knows.
What Leeds really need, and fast, is a strong secure team. As it stands we have a very weak nervy squad.
But on a good note lees signing a 4 year contact did lift my spirits.

by my reasoning, the first real concrete information we got came on the 29th, and statement from the club came out on the 30th, and it is now the 31st [Australian Eastern Standard Time, of course]...

Everyone's carrying on like this had been dragging on for months.... it's been 3 days

If something major is going down, i would expect this to carry on for some time yet...

3-4 weeks at least, they've only just started talking ,probably 3or 4 interested parties, then it will narrowed down to 2, not got down to the real nitty gritty yet.

my only concern is that there actually will be some sort of 'transfer embargo' during the negotiations.... as gessa rightly says, you'd expect about 3 weeks before anything was actually signed so Warnock's goal of getting things sorted early will be well and truly out the window.

Warnock after the takeover: Well we hit a few bumps in the road in the transfer window, so i'm looking to bring some loans in to cover our depleted squad. Paddy signed a new deal and think he can... etc..

Sorry I cant help but laugh a little at that idea.

My main concern too Silky, seems there's no more money in the pot for anymore transfers now, so no more signings other than loans and that maybe doubtful because the new regime may want different players.You'd think any potential new owners would realise this, so hopefully they'll want to get it done and dusted ASAP.
