BBC or ITV pundits...

Post by 1964white »

Who do you prefer

Linekar, Hansen, Lawrenson, Dixon, Shearer

OR

Chiles,Townsend, Keane, Carragher & whoever else they can drag into the studio

Have you notice how Roy Keane says "Listen" in nearly every sentence

BBC for me  & every other sports event apart from Horse Racing (CH4 are kings) & Super league (Sky)

Neither . Only decent panel I can ever remember was the ITV panel for the 1970 world cup ( Dougan , Crerand , Allison , McNab ) . Back then it was fresh and new as a concept and those guys were genuinely interesting and had something to say . Now it's just boring , tedious , claptrap .

I don't like Keane or Carragher, and I don't rate Chiles as a presenter. So BBC it is.

Linekar is a good presenter, and Shearer and Hansen always know what they are talking about.

BBC every time for me.

Think Lee Dixon is a very underrated pundit. They could get rid of Keown though, find him quite patronising.

ITV just annoy me, I liked Chiles as an MOTD presenter but not as the main man. Townsend and Southgate as well, are they seriously the best they can get?

It was actually on last night, mate! Brilliant stuff!

Seriously, we get Giles and an often inebriated/angry Eamon Dunphy kept apart by someone like Brady.

Both channels bore the life out of me, BBC panel are eventually going to morph into one, they are all so similar. I don't watch pre game ,half time or post game, neither have had a decent pundit since, Ian Wright, they're both frightened to employ anyone with a pesonality or a decent sense of humour.

In Australia the commentary teams and pundits are so bad that the only way to watch any sport (football, rugby, rugby league, tennis, golf, athletics, swimming, hockey, cricket and anything else you would care to mention) is with the sound on mute.
