Everton werent under strength, they had a very strong team out there tonight. Leeds never get any credit.

It was a monumental effort by the Boys, No Kenny , Peltier , McCormack , Norris , Green , Drury, give credit when it's due . The whole team was awesome , Byram is playing well beyond his years what a prospect.
Diouf showed his experience .
Let's go to Bristol and do the business. M.O.T forever...

. Every time we play the big prem teams it makes me realise how much I miss us being in the top flight though

Sitting here big smile on my face, almost doing a little dance in my chair - from behind it must look like a deranged labrador wagging its tail - still scratching my head a little because I didn't expect the win, but well proud!

Only 15,000 Leeds fans, but what an atmosphere. Brilliant. Those 'stay aways' from Elland Rd missed a cracker.
Fantastic performance all round. They made you proud to be a Leeds fan.

MOTM EHD

Everybody is on about pace, but at one point during the night EHD was strolling,
I swear the ball is tied to his bootlace. At times there seemed to be some StarTrek
force field surrounding him... the opposition would not go near him and he would
just walk with the ball, and then pick out an exquisite pass. He seemed to operate
on both wings and at one point Everton instead of doubling up on him had three men
on him, and somehow he would still hold on to the ball and slow things down, then
with some skill, miraculously perform a nutmeg and be on his way, leaving three Everton
players checking their shorts for brown stuff, and if they did manage to floor him he would
get up and blow kisses, smile and wave at the Everton fans... talk about gamesmanship...
must have pi55ed the Everton team no end.

Well folks what a night...i'm still on a high this morning...a terrific performance from a team that has been put together on a shoestring, a mix of young players buzzing around the older players whose experience gave the kids the confidence to express themselves especially Diouf who was immense once again...Eddie Gray said on the phone-in if Diouf didn't play we wouldn't have won that game...EG is spot on !
As for the press & David Moyes...sour grapes comes to mind....alright they made six changes but there was no mention that we made four changes (3 of them defensively & enforced) from our impressive win over Forest. Last night we had around ten players of our slim-line squad unavailable...we have one of the lightest squads in the championship let alone the large quality squads of the premier elite...Unbelievable gripe

I generally don't give 10's in my rating but i'm inclined to up every player by one considering the opposition we murdered with a team that is still gelling together !

Assdown 9...didn't let us down in Paddy's absence...so much better than last season's clown who was actually on the bench last night
Byram 10...what a star this kid is going to be in the future, a bundle of energy with so much talent
Pearce 10...have insisted prior to this game he is the best centre-back we've signed in a long time, would have been my captain from day one, Captain courageous with 8 stitches in his head put in a sterling performance. Had it been a prem player they have been in the treatment room moping, Pearcey was stitched up, bandaged & back on the park with two minutes.
Lees 10...Tom's best game of the season, didn't put a foot wrong, some superb tackles & interceptions
Pugh 9...I'd given up on this fella tbh, showed tonight what he can do when coached properly. Well done Danny Boy
White 10...where did that goal come from his 1st in 74 games. His position was on the right flank but as in the Oxford game he made some penetrating runs into the heart/middle of the Toffee's defence an area where is scored his goal of course
Austin 10...this lad is getting better with each game, a all-round battling midfield who has an eye for goals, love him !
Brown 9...another stalwart putting in a really top performance
Tonge 9...we saw the best of Michael Tonge, his best game so far as he strives for match fitness...could he be another inspired signing ?
Becchio 8...good first half, thought Luci tired in the second period
Diouf 10...what can i say ABSOLUTELY IMMENSE ! El Hadji controls the game, influences all the players around him, without him would be a massive loss, best loan/short term signing since Dougie Freedman who is having a similar impact on how we play & achieving an end result. The Leeds fans love him :luv:

Yes fair enough - but how many other people on here have recently knocked Leeds even after we have won. I will mainly critise when we havent played well and lost, or I have been to the game and have been bored to tears with the long hoof ball and none effort by Leeds. Last night however, we played great from start to finish. We thoughly deserved the win, made good tackles and defended well. We travelled through horrendous weather both there and back but was well worth the effort. Even if we had played like we did and lost I would still say we were unlucky. Believe me, if Leeds play well and lose I will give credit to Leeds. I only say what I see - each and everyone of us are entitled to our opinions and obviously people will see things I dont and vice virsa.

Last week against Hull I felt we were unlucky thanks to a crap ref but everything went wrong that night. We ended up late for the game thanks to the delays on the M1 and M621, which made us miss Becchios goal, we lost obiously and I had a problem with the post office collecting a parcel en-route to Leeds

Just one of those nights.

More of the same as last night on Saturday will do thanks.

Hi Guys, my two sons asked me if we would beat Everton last night and I have to admit I said no, I doubt it.
Oh boy was I wrong. What a great performance from our boys, real blood and guts stuff and some nice football. There seems to be a real team spirit in the camp at the moment, everyone playing for each other and the team. I mean most people said we had made a big mistake by signing EHD but all I see is a player with real class and a desire to play for Leeds. NW is doing his best with one hand tied behind his back and a treatment room full of injured players, Becchio a man who has taken some stick on here is playing well ( even if he did miss a sitter ) and doing what we need him to do, score goals and our Jamaican midfielder who came from a so called crap league is making a name for himself at Leeds. Add to that the young players coming through and the hope we will get a few of the injury's back, a little self belief and we could have a good season.
The only one who doesn't seem to be pulling out the stops for Leeds Utd and imho has never done so, is the bearded bollox. Imagine what we could achieve if he would just sign us over to owners with forward thinking, money and a belief in Leeds Utd.
Any way cant let him sour the sweet taste of victory. My youngest son has gone to school today with his Leeds shirt on and told me he was proud to wear it this morning as no one can take the piss out of him today. Performances like last night are how we recruit young Leeds fans. I envy you guys who can get to the games week in week out, if I manage to get to one this year it will be the height of it, just have to settle for BBC bullshit coverage on Thursday night. Bet they wont show much of it because we won. Thought they would be showing the Toffees hammering us, ha ha happy to disappoint.
Any way sorry I ain't been on here much lately, been busy but might have a little more time from here on in.
