Errr...helo we are down to the bare bones ourselves

Picked up my Daily Mail this morning to read about the match, and fair enough we got a good match report, but I was totally disgusted by the tone of the report! By all accounts Everton were playing a weakened team, poor dears! Not one mention of our selection problems until a quote from Warnock. I was so upset that I emailed the reporter and gave him a ripping off, not that it will do anything, not one for admitting error are sports reporters! The article is below....

Only 15,000 Leeds fans, but what an atmosphere. Brilliant. Those 'stay aways' from Elland Rd missed a cracker.

Massive disappointment Chester...as you say there loss !

There were many coaches from around the country & i know loads of fans who travelled from East Yorks by car which is an 125 mile all-round trip, then there were several off this forum who travelled long distances on a horrible rainy night.
I reckon there was only 10,000 fans who were actually from Leeds. Those who didn't turn up cannot moan about the ticket prices this time,the City of Leeds & the anti-Bates stay aways they should hang their heads in shame

Everybody is on about pace, but at one point during the night EHD was strolling,
I swear the ball is tied to his bootlace. At times there seemed to be some StarTrek
force field surrounding him... the opposition would not go near him and he would
just walk with the ball, and then pick out an exquisite pass. He seemed to operate
on both wings and at one point Everton instead of doubling up on him had three men
on him, and somehow he would still hold on to the ball and slow things down, then
with some skill, miraculously perform a nutmeg and be on his way, leaving three Everton
players checking their shorts for brown stuff, and if they did manage to floor him he would
get up and blow kisses, smile and wave at the Everton fans... talk about gamesmanship...
must have pi55ed the Everton team no end.

Forgeting all the baggage etc,he could be the find of the season,other than the quality he showed on the pitch, he seemed to be enjoying it , long may it continue.Watching the game last night a lot of neutrals were saying "shouldn't be on the pitch" etc, by the end a good few were saying things like "he's a talent though""best player on the pitch"

The only marks i can really give is 8 across the board everyone did well just hope for a repeat on saturday.

6 And maybe the best reason people CANT AFFORD IT out of the five who travel with me three did not go for that reason they could not justify the expense but you can be sure come whatever they will be on the way to Bristol on Saturday.

1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 I can agree with, I just find it ridiculous people stay away for reason number 5 Yes it's their decision but imo a rather silly one.

Yes i agree with you but i do know a few people who have not renewed season tickets for that reason plus a couple i know will travel to all away games but set foot in Elland Road while bates is there never but in the end its their choice.

No one is probably interested in what I have to say but dunno how the f*ck I afford it. I put £50 worth of diesel in and used that up, plus food on the way up plus the cost of the ticket - luckily I qualify for ambulant disabled so only have to pay for mine as Dan as my carer goes free. Plus there is £6 for the car park - I dont work. Went to the Hull game last week, Everton game yesterday and am off to the Bolton game next week.

My hubby luckily does pay for the tickets at least and Dan for the most part helps with fuel costs. I just cant understand people who work 9-5 each day, only live a short distance from ER and yet still dont attend matches. The weather was awful last night but it didnt ruin the game in anyway.

What I wouldnt give to live nearer Leeds.

Doofer was immense his experience came out last night, I think he reached match fitness at the right time.
Aidy whites goal was a stunner, how did he flick it back like that? I said a long time ago he would eventually score a wonder goal beat three players and pop it in the net. For him to do it last night at a match I went to... Hopefully now white will get his confidence back and start attacking!

Even Pugh made me eat humble pie, I saw him get forward and diouf was begging for it on the left and I thought he took it to far, but out of no place produced an outside footed pass that landed perfectly at doofsters feet.

umm yes fair enough!! But this is one team one city and a big city you think we could fill a 40,000 seater for a game like that!!! Have to say great game Leeds are becoming a proper team now....
Maybe we just needed time to get the team settled!!!!
And one last thing wish the kop could be like that all the time!!!!

Everton didnt show themselves to be great fans either!!!!!
