Typcal professional attitude of a rugby player as oppose to a soft footballer who would be more concerned about their own well-being as it would affect their pulling-prowess on a Saturday eveningShields53 wrote:

I posted a similar post on here a couple of years ago...all the same a TOP EXCELLENT POSTGino 1959 wrote:One of the best posts ever, RE. I was introduced to RL as a cousin of mine played for Saints and I always followed in on TV thereafter - picking Leeds, of course.
Bradley Wiggins reckons it is the toughest sport bar none and that is saying something! They spoke about the tackles being the equivalent of 40mph head-on car crashes, which is mind-boggling.
Plus - the whole respect thing - certainly towards the officials - has to be admired.
I would just love it if TV had the b@lls to show Bale and Suarez replays of their pathetic attempts at cheating and say ok, lads, care to explain those?

Fans only see cheats playing for the opposition. There's the real problem.1964white wrote:

He may be better than Messi, and no bigger cheat either, but Iker is my fave. He's been the key player for the greatest club side in the world for lord knows how long and won his first champions league medal at 19. He is like Sinfield - a role model and a 'proper' captain!1964white wrote:

Rugby is my first sport I love it, but players should not be applauded for playing on with a serious injury. Yes they are far more honest in how they play but union anyway is based on who can cheat best withoit getting caught! Leeds thumbs must be one of the most impressive sporting sides around at the moment

My point was one of your favourite players from this summer's Euro's has taken many dives in his career, i recall one of his captain's ordering him to get up when he fell over a blade of grass at ER several years ago !white.riot wrote:

Looks like the grass hasn't been cut since watching Diouf on Saturday. How horrible was it watching spitter role around after the final whistle had gone, completely oblivious that time did not need to be wasted. Someone eventually whispered in his ear and our hero is up like a spring chicken and running around like a role model.1964white wrote:

Riot, I know you don't like Diouf, but he HAD just taken a heavy clatter which, if the ref wasn't too busy blowing for full time, should have been rewarded with a yellow at least.

I don't like what he stands for and the potential damage he could do to our reputation and lord knows what else. He was feigning injury on Saturday and it was embarrassing to see. He's not alone of course but Saturday was a bit special even by his standards.Drs.Dad wrote:

We'll have to agree to disagree Riot, I saw him clobbered, there was a huge shout from that end of the Kop about it, but the final whistle had gone and fans were leaving anyway, so nothing done.
Pointless argument, let's drop it?

Similar to one of your favourites which you seem unable to grasp my point mate...many players are cheating an act i do not condone...we also have another player at Leeds who falls to the ground with considerable easewhite.riot wrote:

The one to whom you refer even makes that look hard work Tbf. It's more like a building collapsing than ballet.1964white wrote:

I prefer Ron to Mess. I wouldn't trust either of 'em.
