Blame Becchio if it makes you feel better
I always thought there were eleven in a team not just one, obviously mistaken
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

Be fair BB - he should have been sent off and a pen for the pigs awarded, for that blatant amateuristic handball. The fact that he is supposed to be a striker yet didn't have ONE strike today? Or even hold the ball up?becchio bear wrote:Blame Becchio if it makes you feel betterI always thought there were eleven in a team not just one, obviously mistaken

Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds - Team News/Reports/Ratings
Leeds were pretty terrible but the ref was appalling tonight, as was Llera. No wonder SW concede so many goals when their central defender spends half the game in the opposition's box. It's a brave man who tries to spark out Michael Brown as well... Nuff said.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Not going to repeat everything that has been said regarding the idiot fan, just to say that llera bloke got away with the same thing twice on the pitch. Not condoning it but action needs to be taken against both. And Michael brown too to be fair, for his acrobatics.
As for the game, what a load of bollox. Not a single player turned up last night. I really don't get Colin either. Why does he persist on playing players out of position. We had our rb at lb, our rm at rb and our lb/lm at rm!! WTF!!!!!
I was texting my brother during the game and I said "drury must have sh!t on warnock's kids or something, couldn't even get on when pelts was injured"
After all that however we still came away with a point. I will take that.
And one more thing Dave jones is a prick

Sad day, that fan was an idiot, but therewere others on the pitch bringing shame on the club too.
Wouldnt even want to discuss the match I am that ashamed of what went on.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds - Team News/Reports/Ratings
Sorry folks i cringe & feel ashamed to be a Leeds fan this morning after witnessing that mindless torag & a few 100 others put our club in shame & take us backwards yet again....i've just seen the idiot being congratulated by all his mates & Leeds fans as he jumped back into the crowd, sickening !
I know the Wednesday fans caused much of the problems initially with their Turkish chants but surely we are adult enough to rise above that sort of insulting behaviour...after that it all kicked off as both sets of fans hurled objects at each other, then the Owls fans tried to charged through the empty seats where the police had much difficulty containing the situation.
I did say to my mate Gary that this could all kick off again as both sections of fans over in the far corner were behaving like morons !
My questions are :
Why was the Leppings end not steward/policed efficiently after the intial incident bearing in mind that is the first time the whole of that end has been opened for the away following as generally the bottom tier is unused ? after the Kirkland incident the police lined up the whole of our end...far too late as the horse had already bolted. I doubt
a handful of away fans would have got on the pitch at ER in a similar situation...the stewarding for this game was appalling tbh
Why is it when we play these potential trouble incident games ? the idiot home contingent are situated next to the Leeds fans...it happens at Millwall, Huddersfield, Hull , Sheffield....both sets of fans are far too close for comfort in my opinion, we have too many idiots of our own, only needs incidents like last night & the circumstances become ultimately worse !
Why did Dave Jones paint every Leeds fan with the same brush..."all Leeds fans are animals & should be banned"
the utimate insult from Mr Jones to us innocent Leeds fans....i'm pretty sure the championship chairmen will support his stance on the matter & forfeit £1000's of gate receipts
grow up Jones all managers suffer abuse, our current one more than most...i detest the songs our fans sing about him as i do with most of these managerial tauts but as an adult you need to rise above all the idiotic chants !
I'm not excusing or condoaning a minority who behaved appallingly last night but the above questions need to be addressed as football clubs in general need to get their own house in order if we are to move forward
I fear the consequences

Great post 64, horrible that you mention 100s, and the fact the guy was congratulated, thats what I thought I saw on tv but was not sure. I am so ashamed that those people can have any connection to this great club.

Some 'Leeds fans' on twitter, who called me an armchair fan, said I had to be there to understand why the guy did. I know there was taunting between the crowds, but I assume Kirkland didn't do anything to rile that reaction? You any wiser on the situation?1964white wrote:Sorry folks i cringe & feel ashamed to be a Leeds fan this morning after witnessing that mindless torag & a few 100 others put our club in shame & take us backwards yet again....i've just seen the idiot being congratulated by all his mates & Leeds fans as he jumped back into the crowd, sickening !

Brown should not have been played. He was always going to look too sluggish in his attempts to look tough and get us into trouble. We should have been playing guys who would not lower to that level and who would bring a bit of calm to the game, make the opposition react.
As for ole Dave Jones, he would not have (over)reacted that way had they kept hold of their lead. And on that note, what a strike by Tonge...shame it was lost in the madness that followed.
And finally, so glad to have Warnock. He has seen all this before and knows how to react. I'm sure 95% of the Leeds fan base agreed with his post-match comments on the events, which is what you want from a manager in that regards. His tactics were a bit iffy...why play Austin when he is jet-lagged and slightly injury-concerned when you could have played Norris. Why play a handful of players out of position when it isn't required?

You shouldn't be ashamed to be a leeds fan mate. Leeds will always get stick no matter what, sometimes deserved sometimes not but it's your club and should be proud of that. Even if Leeds won the treble everyone would give us stick and call us dirty leeds.1964white wrote:Sorry folks i cringe & feel ashamed to be a Leeds fan this morning after witnessing that mindless torag & a few 100 others put our club in shame & take us backwards yet again....i've just seen the idiot being congratulated by all his mates & Leeds fans as he jumped back into the crowd, sickening !

That's the way i feel this morning mate....btw i was listening to Radio Sheffield on the way home, their presenters & fans didn't know/ignored the full facts though...a Leeds fan was allowed on the show & talked alot sense but of course was cut off quickly as soon as he mentioned the poor behaviour of a minority of the Owls fans.leeds&leeds&leeds wrote:

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds - Team News/Reports/Ratings
As for the game :
Why do all our managers play players out of their natural position....Peltier is no left back....White is no right winger...Byram is a better player on the right side of midfield than right back...Why oh why Warnock ?
Why play Austin who looked leggy even in the warm up
what is the point of having a squad if our manager is not prepared to use the likes of Drury, Norris, etc when required. NW is playing Peltier in the team to accomodate him because he is the captain...tbh Peltier has looked more comfortable as a centre-back than a full-back
The ref was awful for both teams...how he missed Becchio's hand ball or the on pitch assault on Brown or their blatant offside goal as an Owl player who was stood infront of Kenny as the header flew in is all beyond me....i could see all the incidents from 100/200 yards
Kenny 5 - his poorest performance in a Leeds shirt so far
Byram 4 - beaten time & time again by Antonio, the lad's ability is wasted playing at right back
Pearce 7 - solid as ever from our best No.5 in a long time, had to deal with alot of set-pieces as did Lees
Lees 7 - solid at the back
Peltier 3 - another inept performance playing out of position...Time for a re-think Mr Warnock
White 5 - why is he playing on the right wing
Brown 5 - struggled with the pace of the game
Austin 2 - was still in Jamaica i think...shouldn't have been selected for this game
Tonge 8 - yet another smashing goal, forced a good save out of Kirkland with our only chance in a woeful first half
Diouf 7 - once again showed neat touches & control of a football
Becchio 1 - oh dear Luci what the hell was that all about...he can't run, can't control or hold onto a football, can't head a ball under pressure, can't pass...a dreadful effort from a striker who is suppose to be better than Berbatov
Subs :
Norris 7 - our game improved once he was introduced...should have been on from the start
Varney 4 - what is the point ?

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds - Team News/Reports/Ratings
Spent the morning reading and listen to reports on the goalkeeper incident trying to understand it, and
I have to say the chanting about "96" and "Galatasaray" seemed to inflame the situation. There was talk
of missiles being thrown and chairs being ripped up. All the hallmarks of violent hooliganism. Chants are
obviously being used to goad the opposition, and upset players and managers, and as such generate
heated emotions and violent reactions.
Dave Jones was particularly incensed by the chants directed towards him, which I have understood to be
"Dave Jones is a pedo". You would get the impression that Leed's fans are venting some sort of moral outrage.
Yet the same fans chant "Hes jimmy saville. He 5hags who he wants" which would seem to suggest
that they take pride in his transgressions. I really have to wonder what kind of brain can hold those
two diametrically opposed thoughts in their head at the same time. There is no logic to it.
It would almost seem you would have to be mentally deranged or have a split personality to accommodate
such separate ideas regarding a person's moral behaviour, being against one, and for the other.
It makes no sense, and defies any sort of rational explanation.
Perhaps I have to agree with our esteemed chairman when he classes some of the Leeds fans as morons.
