Re: Official TOMA (Take Over My Arse) thread
According to his twitter page -
"Editor of Sports Talk, former Middle East Golfer editor, BBC 5 Live reporter and shamefully poor hacker (in the golfing not News of the World sense of the word)
Dubai"
I'm guessing the Dubai bunged on the end means that is where he is located.
I'd not head of him. Saw a link to him from Phil Hay (YEP's Chief Football Writer).

Posted by JonesyLeeds over at WACCOE....
http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtop ... try5533408I asked about Yanks, Saudis and every other nationality under the sun and wether or not GFHC are about to get school'd by Mr Bates as many expected. Apparently everyone was set for the deal to be concluded 3 weeks ago (Thursday to be exact). It obviously didnt happen and GFHC insisted that the statement about proof of funds was released after receiving a few phone calls from highly respected individuals asking why the deal wasn't done, they were worried that the 'no funds' story would come up again and people would believe that to be the case...Im told it wasn't. To say that GFHC are a little 'peeved' at the reports regards a lack of funds is an understatement.
Proof of funds doesnt come from GFHC, its provided by the bank/financial institution involved in the transaction and states that GFHC have in excess of £55million at the time of producing the document. The proof of funds is not just a bank statement, it is a signed document that states the money is debt free and is ready to go immediately. The statement was released early to in the morning to try appease everyone. They then met to discuss everything once again, this was to be a 'handover' meeting. GFHC were now travelling with documentation that they had intended to simply add a few more more signatures.
The issue has now been resolved with a bit of give and take on both sides. As of Tuesday this week (last time I got an email) GFHC are 100% convinced that the deal will be concluded very shortly, I hardly ever give dates on things as dates have come and gone more times with the TO than anything Ive ever know, however, they have said that they expect the deal to be concluded within the next few days or certainly by the end of next week. If it doesnt then, they have probably been played by Mr Bates and it will never happen.
Oh and as Jacobs has said , the transaction will bring ER back under the clubs control as its something that they insisted upon many months ago.

This is uncharted territory for TOMA, means it is really close to being done. Unsure what kind of agreements are in place, but this has to mean the fat lady is warming up in the wings. Mi mi mi...........DallasWhite wrote:They may as well have just said, nothing to see here, move along please
