Best first 45 mins Leeds have played all season in that first half. Second half Leicester came at us a bit more but no real threat.
What a difference Tate and Thomas have made to our team, remarkable transformation since the Watford game.
The whole team has had a lift and we look so much better.
Leicester couldn't handle Thomas when he was on the ball, it was so good to see. We've been crying out for someone like that since Gradel left.
Tate is like a rock in defence, so calm and confident on the ball. Looks quality.
Norris and byram were also standouts in my opinion for man of the match.
All in all an excellent performance and probably our best home showing of the season. Roll on Huddersfield.

It is said all the time, but winning is a habit, as is losing. What a difference two players can make, pity we couldnt of got them in sooner

What a difference a takeover completed & two new signings have made....we have gone from absolute rubbish to looking a half decent side...two very solid performances producing magnificent results...has Warnock found his best eleven
We now have a better balanced team with a mix of class, pace & grit.
We were suffering a battering in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half, Warnock made the change taking off Thomas & bringing on Brown, that substitution alone stemmed the flow & the game became slightly scrappy for the next 20 minutes which wasn't a bad thing as we were leading the game, yes the Foxes had chances but we battled right upto the final whistle to earn a credible win & a clean sheet too !
The fans around me were screaming for McCormack & Hall to come on....NW did the right thing not bringing on two unfit little men against a big physical Foxes outfit, Diouf showed his class towards the end keeping hold of the ball when required something we missed in the latter part of the Palace game
Kenny 8 - our best keeper without any doubt, some were questioning his place in the team
Byram 8 - has now shown his colours against the likes of Mattie Jarvis, Wilfred Zaha, Lloyd Dyer & others wingers worth millions, this kid has dealt with them admirally. What a star....best product to come out of the academy since Lennon & Milner
Tate 9 - a proper leader, once again marshalled the defence as he produced yet another calm top performance
Lees 8 - looks a better player alongside Tate
Peltier 7 - crucial tackle towards the end of the game kept the Foxes at bay
Green 7 - worked hard & is becoming a vital part of the middle three
Norris 9.5 - outstanding display of hard endeavour & tenacity. Norris has had his critics ( i've been quietly impressed), he broke up so many Leicester moves his performance reminded me of Leeds legend David Batty, he can play a bit too as he provided a sublime pass for Becchio to danced round Kasper to score a wonderful goal only for the linesman to stick his flag up for the upteenth time, a very debatable offside decision i believe !
On Norris's last two or three showings we are not missing Rudi Austin.....MAN OF THE MATCH without any doubt
Tonge 8 - some quality passes particularly during the first half...Tonge is an intregal part of our engine room
Thomas 8 - once again linked up well with Diouf....has a touch of quality & showed his pace even though he is not match-fit yet
Becchio 8 - what has Warnock put in Luci's coffee
... this is what i want to see from our main striker...running off the ball into space, winning headers & holding up the ball much better. Took his penalty with assured cofidence too !
Diouf 8 - a little sloppy in the first quarter but grew into the game & showed his true class as he retained the ball & created opportunities on the break. First time i've seen El Hadji assisting our defenders as we battled to snare the Foxes
Sub :
Brown 7 - came on to stem the Foxes pressure & did his job
Manager
Warnock 9 - spot on with his team selection & made a crucial substitution when required. Well done NW for sticking with the players on the park even though some fans were becoming frustrated. I was very happy as we had players on the pitch who were prepared to battle to keep a clean sheet...meanwhile Huddersfield concede another 3

A lot of people questioning that descision, good to hear a view from the other side.1964white wrote:Warnock made the change taking off Thomas & bringing on Brown, that substitution alone stemmed the flow & the game became slightly scrappy for the next 20 minutes which wasn't a bad thing as we were leading the game, yes the Foxes had chances but we battled right upto the final whistle to earn a credible win & a clean sheet too !

Re: Leeds v Leicester - Team News/Reports/Ratings
A second solid, battling performance in 4 days, talk about takeover 'bounce', here's hoping it continues (at least until after Saturday, anyway!). One minor gripe for me; I'd love Warnock to encourage the team to really go at the opposition when we get our noses in front, rather than scrapping to hold what we have. This league is ridiculously close and goal difference could be the difference between auto and play-offs or play-offs and also-rans. Our's is poor at present (-4) whereas Palace, for example, are +12.

Remember though, these players aren't good enough for this league
Makes me smile.
Nevertheless, another good win. Time to beat Hudders into submission. This is the game we need to win!

With nearly 30mins left a feel we should of put hall on and and Some pace battering that left wing!
Was a risky move for me but we hung on...
Great to see a performance like that!!
Everyone seemed to be playing for each other good to see!

Had Warnock brought Hall on that would not have halted the Foxes pressure on our defence & Leicester would have killed us in the end !Wolfetoneleeds wrote: I just thought it was to early to bring on brown?
