You must me living in Cloud Cuckoo Land if you think that writing to your MP will make one iota of difference. I've done that and all I got from my Labour MP was a condescending attitude and a load of BS about the many advantages of being in the EU. Politicians pursue their own, and their Party's, agendas regardless of public opinion, knowing full well that the brain-dead cretins will still vote for them come election time. Democracy doesn't exist when there's effectively a two-party-state and people are locked into an X-Factor/Strictly/got talent mentality.

I wonder why people are starting to bite ukip?
Maybe this is unnerving the power house party's and making them really think now?
Who is biting UKIP?
If you don't like the mainstream parties, get involved with direct action. If you are too apathetic to do that, then don't complain.
Same to you Armley!

Re: Another reason not to vote.
I'm voting for the 'monster raving loony party and mr wibble'
Look, you can all have your opinions on what/why/who you vote for, but,it all boils down to one thing,OIL.
The hole world is run by America, apart from,China/Iran/N.Korea.The u.k is Americas puppy dog. So,in my opinion, all the ''partys'' can go f**k themselves.
Furthermore,you're/we're all brainwashed and we don't even know it.The ''hole'' world is over populated and busting at the seams.Heres' where America come in.They have had a simple strategy for a long time now. They provoke/cause unjust wars,to justify their ''real'' agenda,to have control over 90% of the world's Oil.
I guesstimate, within the next 10 years, some sort of provocation, which eventually, will cause a Nuclear war,to wipe out 4/5ths of the world population, then the 'New World Order' will take over.Furthermore,America and its puppy dogs, are planning/hoping on this happening.
If I were you,I'd put your tin hats on and dig a big f**k off hole in your garden, don't forget ya' bog roll, and just pray you're not anywhere near the blast radius.Even then, thats not going to matter, because the radiation will get us.So,we're all fucked basically.
all the best.

Re: Another reason not to vote.
I despair at the attitudes of some here.
not voting shows one thing, apathy.
Yes I think we should have a "brewsters millions" option when voting (None of the above) to show it is apathy with the system rather than plain laziness.
If you don't vote, IMHO you are part of the problem.

Just a bunch of gangsters in the South and bigots in the North where there is a "forced coalition" i.e. there is no official opposition so where is the democracy in this!
I am not registered in ANY jurisdiction in the world to vote, which suits me just fine
