I was remaining optimistic till this result.
Town are a shocking team, they are now riding their luck in 14th but what was it commentators said.
They have only scored less than 1 other team and they have only conceded less than 2 other teams and they have the second worst goal difference.
Even if it is mathematically possible for another 5 matches, it makes no difference.
The team have been playing much better recently but the results have not made the grade we need for the playoff push even still.
Now the daunting thought of having to rely on GFH to find the right manager and actually support them is our hope for a push next season.
Its unlikely but town are now as likely to finish above us as we are to make the playoffs..

fact was he had an offer on the table then, rather than whatever imaginary one he might get at the end of the season...Once that moron Warnock decided he was gonna blame him for all our ills he did the right thing and left. one of that is Steve Morrisons fault, neither was coming to the club lacking full fitness. We lose someone who can get us 25 a season, good defensive instinct but poor first touch and lack of physicality and gain a potential 25 a season goal scorer with a good first touch and the ability to stay not to get muscled off the ball so easily.
Don't forget I'm a Becchio fan, I've always supported him here.
Yeah like you I don't blame Becchio for leaving. If the manager wants you out then no point staying - especially as he had proved himself. My point was that in terms of this season it was a huge mistake by Warnock. Likewise not blaming Morison either as it wasn't his fault that he was thrown in when unfit.

I've pretended to support a team that's been crap for most of my life as part of a long term plan

If someone were off I'd rather they go quickly...I don't believe it's had an impact on a playoff push

Whatever the long term outcome of Becchio's move (I think Morison given time will be a good acquisition) it has had a disastrous effect on this season.
I enjoyed the game despite the result, I thought the first half was fast paced and we played well for the first 20 minutes, then came a period of sustained pressure from Hudds. Austin played well for most of the game, it looked like we had the old Austin back - the Beast - he did a brilliant athletic scissorkick and I loved him shoulder barging a Hudds player over the hoarding and onto the tarmac Byram worked hard throughout the game, his shot at goal in the dying seconds was truly awful though. A very disappointing result. Warnock out.
Edit to say, really should mention Austin's shot on goal which whacked the crossbar, full of pace from the edge of the box, like an exocet missile, if that had have gone in it would have gone straight through the net

I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.
Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP
More from Warnock: "I want the club to get the best manager they can get to replace me. I don't want them to panic and get just anybody."

NW: "I've seen some people putting their hat in the ring and, quite honestly, I think the club should be patient." #lufc
WE''RE LEEDS UNITED, WE''LL NEVER BE DEFEATED!
Paul Green was warnobs best signing.
If you disagree please send me a PM so we can get in to a fight.

I do think NW is truly trying to help GFH find the best person for the job, and don't think he's shirking his failures this season. I can actually see him angling for a job as Football Director at the club, whatever that entails. That said, I have a feeling this was his last match as manager at Leeds United.
As for the match, another B+ for effort, F for quality. Unsure of Habibou and Hall, and Luke Varney should be re-named, "FFS Varney".

Warnock hasn't been here that long, I really don't want him involved in the managerial process and certainly not staying on in any shape or form. Same here re Habibou and Hall, need to see a bit more of them I suppose. We missed Becchio in the box in the second half for sure.

agreed..wtf has Warnock got to do with Leeds?

Is he going to be Director of Football from Cornwall? Sounds like he wants power without responsibility. All in all his tenure at ER has been retrograde and I strongly believe that we need to think long-term when a new appointment is made.

Go bollox, scottish person! OOH - you make the effort to go to ER every game then, living so close? Oh - wait!
4 Years ago, when I was guest at TA (thanks to people at the club), I tried to engage becchio in conversation (I speak fluent Italian, as does he) and wanted to ask him how he was settling in at our club. He just ignored me. Richard Naylor told me "don't mind that twat - he thinks he is better than Leeds. We don't really like him".
Hence my dislike of becchio. Appreciate his goals for us yes - Like him? NEVER.
I have been in the company of players many times although Bechhio could not speak great english he always made time for the fans the really young ones especially not like some players who are plain ignorant will not shame them by naming them.
MASSIVE sympathy to Dezzy. His 1st ever trip to ER and the team let him down.
Please post a first impressions of ER/ game review, so I can read it out on the show this week. Always love to hear fans first experiences of ER - cheers!
Hope you managed to cheer up with a decent steak post game, Dezzy lad?
