I think he'd be a good manager for us. He'd bring a good style of football, and he'd probably make good use of the foreign transfer market as well as domestic. But I see two potential problems:

1. His contract runs until 2016, so can we afford to buy him out and give him a transfer budget? Or wouldwe want to spend big on him?

2. He turned down Reading, a team in the prem (but not for much longer I suspect), and apparently a big transfer budget irrespective of their division in the summer. He preffered to stay at Brighton. They've got a brand new stadium that is often full. They've got a decent team tht play his brand of football, and have money and ambition to back him in the market to strengthen the team. For me, Brighton are a lot closer to a promotion ready team than us.

Now I'd like to think the challenge of making Leeds great again would inspire him. And of contracted managers I think he's the number one guy. But as much as I'd like it, I just don't think we'll be able to afford the compensation, and evenif we can, that could reduce his transfer budget unless GFH pump more money in.

Didn't GFH say they were going to bring in a football person to run the daily stuff at the club this summer? So the comments aren't really that out of order by NW. Right or wrong, I think they truly thought Warnock was the answer, and not so sure if they had a back-up plan if the tits did indeed go upward.

For me, the management choice would be McDermott or Poyet, with Solskjær as overall favourite if he would even consider coming here. I would happily ignore his Scum background. Kean and O'Neil are too old hat and I just feel we need a young manager to change our whole outlook on tactics.

There are questions over GFH and their ability (financial or ability) to push the club "to the next level". The selling of Becchio tells me they were unable to convince him of the future prospects for the club- their regime wasn't worth hanging around for. The negotiations might not have been well enough advanced at that point to be influential, but it remains an unanswered question in my mind at least. The almost immediate touting around for a partner is unusual to say the least- again raising questions. Whilst GFH haven't done anything wrong, they haven't really done anything yet.

Hi stranger! GFH-C is the reason we are not going to get any manager right now. There is no stability in our ownership, so who's to say a manager GFHC sign this term will be wanted by any new owners next term? Would you go work for a company, knowing that risk?

I have one major concern about Solskjaer. He has only been a manager in a league where Rodolph Austin was once named league player of the season.

Been thinking about this and i would prefer someone who is still employed rather than someone who's just been canned..i.e McDermott, O'neill..think OGS or Poyet would be better for us from a footballing point of view too, not sure O' neill would have the impact people expect..wouldnt have said that a while back but if he cant hack it at Sunderland he wont be our long term solution either, sure Sunderland are a biggish club but in terms of fan expectation theyre not on our street , if they beat the Geordies n avoid the drop theyre happy for the year..Might have been harsh of Reading to sack McDermott but is he really the man to make us great/ish again?

I doubt that GFHC have any idea of what their GFH parential financial backing (that they are dependent on) is?
