I'm excited. Should arrive from the rain forest on Tuesday.

Even better, on Thursday I fulfil a long standing ambition when I see Pere Ubu (in a pub no less which is extra great). The week after I have The Fall in a warm up for their May tour. A while since I saw Smith. New album in May Re-Mit! Ersatz was good but Smith thinks Re-MIT much better!

Ubu and Cave have the albums of the year so far (IMO) although the man who invented Americana, Terry Allen, runs 'em mighty close. A slow year I think?

Thought it reminded me of the 80s, Leon, and I was right when I looked him up! Had a Magazine-feel to my ears and you know how I feel about them from recent polls.

Features artists such as Richard Hell, Lee 'Scratch' Perry & from bands such as PIL, Slits, Massive Attack, Primal Scream, Raincoats, Killing Joke, Sonic Youth & of course the album is out of the Adrian Sherwood school

Huge respect to Mark Stewart. I loved the Pop Group and one of my bands supported him with his Mafia in the Amsterdam Milky Way. Nice bloke as well.
I've banged on for yonks about the New Age Steppers and Mark also collaborated with them, at the request of On U producer Adrian Sherwood. (Former Pop Group member turned producer).
However, I've never really liked his solo stuff. No doubt about his talent tho! 8-)

P.S. His Brizzle accent is amazing! :-D

I've sent you a PM to say that the comparison with Talking Heads is way off the mark.

I've only played the new Bowie a couple of times and it's a cracker.

Music biz having a bad year so far. Just heard former Deftones bass player Chi Cheng has died. He'd been in a sort of coma since 2008 after a car accident. Just 42 years old :( RIP

That is very sad. Under rated band The Deftones, Far too often get chucked in with the "nu metal" brigade and, in reality, there's so much more to them than that. RIP Chi.
