O/T Robbie Keane

Post by Gino 1959 »

Regardless of how his time at ER is viewed, what a servant for his country. In an age when Prem primadonnas cry off at the top of a hat, this is a man that insists on representing his country at every opportunity.

Equalled the appearance record (of Shay Given) this afternoon: 125 games and 56 goals - 11th highest Prem scorer - 26th highest international scorer - phenomenal
Beware the fury of a patient man - John Dryden.

Good as he has been for Ireland, maybe it's time Robbie called it a day in the green jersey. He hasn't scored competitively from play since Estonia away and does not really contribute to general play. Give Long and Walters their chance, with Doyle as backup, assuming he won't play in League 1!

Ok, he scored a few times against semi pros. Let's see what he can do in a must win game against Austria away
