Guys, another aussie here. From Sydney. Been supporting Leeds since, as the two aussies on the previous page said, 1996. Harry was obviously the guy that stoked my interest in the club. As much i loathe the guy now, i'm forever indebted to him and his wizardry. Without him i cannot say who i may've followed. Harry aside though, i have family that lived between Durham and M-boro and we are clearly the biggest football team in that area so it was a fit i thought was worth taking up. Without Harry, perhaps i'd be supporting M-boro??

Since 1996 i've had a wealth of players i admired. In the early years it was Hasselbaink, Martyn. Radebe, then the likes of Smith, Viduka, Harte, Batty, Dacourt to the modern day players like Howson, Snodgrass, Beckford and Ross McCormack. I've always admired the guys who didn't play for the glory but for heart. Not saying all the guys above did so but they were my faves.

How do i feel about us currently? We'll i've never felt so assured of a Leeds Utd manager like McDermott since i don't even know. Not many modern days managers have given me much hope. BMc has a feeling of control and calmness over his leadership. It's quite reassuring. He's made some astute signings already and i'm hoping he can move on our excess midfielders because if he don't, that will dictate how many more he brings in. I'm encouraged though. Even if we don't win promotion this season i still believe he'll have us moving in the right direction anyways.

I started supporting the club back in the late 90's as a young lad here in australia. The main reason was because they had a couple of aussies playing for them at the time.

When I was a wee girl (when dinosaurs were still roaming the earth)... my dad used to let me stay up late to watch MotD. For some reason (was only 11) I started reciting the whole Leeds team every time they played and my dad asked why, and I just didn't know.
Now he's a born and bred Aston Villa van, and my mom is a born and bred Baggies fan, but we moved to Hampshire and the nearest footie team was Southampton. Dad used to take me to matches (when Villa were playing) and I just didn't like Villa or Saints!
Now for the really riveting bit.....
.
.
.
.one day I was singing Blue is the Colour (geez I'm sorry, but read on...) as it was a huge hit in 1971/72?? and my parents got me a freakin Chelsea sports bag for Christmas, because they thought that's who I supported. Man, I had the mother of all tantrums and insisted they take it back, so my dad asked what team did I support, and I said Leeds United of course!

So that's it! :duno: Never looked back and never supported anyone else.

Madman is good, Tumbleweed was better, still think Brown Dirt is the master work though..I'm not familiar with Friends. heard of it but not got it... GYBR was the last great or even good album...
