Yeah the Walsall result was disappointing to say the least. The good news is we got two weeks to correct our attitudes and get things right. The bad news is we have a squad full of too much dead wood. Worse still, McDermott can't seem to find clubs with serious interest in picking up the likes of Pugh, Norris, Tongue and Drury amongst others. My concern is we may only get one more player in as it stands, which is obviously not what we want. In order for McDermott to bring in more, he needs others to head the other way. This is a reasonable expectation from GFH in my opinion, who have said that they want to spend their money wisely and where fit. Bringing in another 3 or 4 players now with another 5-6 guys who'll then be under utilized does make some sense from GFH's end. Trouble for us fans is that isn't likely to end with a promotion push.

Regarding the bunch of players we supposedly need off our books.
Offer them to clubs for free, or minimal fees.
If they wont budge it's because they wont take a wage drop, so in essence they are being detrimental to the club.
Now if this is the case and brian wont risk upsetting squad players which you can understand, the mood of these guys is going to be quite infectious. Just a thought. :duno:

Oh highlights are here for the walsall game lads and lasses. :P

WE''RE LEEDS UNITED, WE''LL NEVER BE DEFEATED!

Paul Green was warnobs best signing.
If you disagree please send me a PM so we can get in to a fight.

Were there any signs of the team adopting the passing game espoused by the Manager?
Any specific feedback on individual players?
Was Austin involved?

Cheers,

Just one of those performances lacking quality, pace, energy.....thankfully the result didn't matter & we have two weeks to put things right. Obviously we are missing our young star Sam Byram
Austin was rested as he is suspended for the first two games of the campaign & McD wanted to give other players a run out in readiness for the new season

All the headlines are about UK fears of their borders being open to billions ((c) Daily Mail) of Bulgarians and Romanians so this worrying influx of convicts into MoT has gone unnoticed

Don't forget we still have Colin's "solid foundation" in place. Not surprising that we're underperforming with those in place.

All those players we can't shift, so we've no chance of getting in the width.

Just as likely to get Heston Blumenthal, David Lynch, Bernard Cribbins and Cecil Sharp...
