Totally missed due to a multitude of personal reasons, but happy to hear a win come up. Can't wait for the reviews.

I'm still scratching my head how LUFC manage to put in two different performances in the space of a few days in this topsy-turvy season. Okay we weren't great but we were committed & focused, so much better than the dirge away from ER at Blackburn, Huddersfield, Derby & Charlton (first-half)'
The game of three halves where we were best, Wigan were best, we were best just goes to show how inconsistent we actually are. One pleasing aspect is we are looking much more solid defensively. Zaliukas looks to be the answer, looking like a very shrewd signing by BM
Nice one again Pugh. Along with Pelts, Pugh is a soft target for the Kop whenever he errs (Rudy makes constant mistakes, has cult status so his errors are ignored & unbelievably applauded) but Pugh adds more value than Warnock for me and Pelts is a better defender than Byram who wins going forward.

Kenny is having a blinding season and made good saves again, one of the better keepers in the championship

Big problem (in our play) is isolation. Our style of football is to play as individuals & not as a team....our movement on & off the ball is poor. European teams play in groups where as we play miles apart & after a few passes the ball is given away cheaply or invaribly hoofed especially by Lees, Austin & when the ball is passed back to Paddy

All in all a good 3 points grinded out

Kenny 8
Peltier 8
Lees 7
Zaliukas 9 - (MOTM) dominant, assured & composed & looks like a footballing CB, totally opposite to Lees
Pearce 7
Pugh 8 - some great runs & link-up play down theleft flank with three wonderful crosses into the box
Austin 6
Murphy 8 - improving with every game , some lovely passes & he gets stuck in
Mowatt 8 - such a joy to watch, delightful passes & flicks. Once again created the first goal with one of his deep crosses swung into the back post. We rarely scored from corners until young Alex came along, i reckon that is 5 or 6 in his short Leeds career. A intelligent player for one so young !
Smith 7 - another young improver, such a shame he fluffed his lines when missing an absolute sitter when we had three attackers v their keeper, he deliberated so long he finally hit his shot at Carson who was more or less sat on the ground...awful miss !
McCormack 8 - Ross at long last is proving me wrong as he continues to come up with the goods, worked his socks off too.
Is that 16 goals for the season now. Still needs to up his game away from ER (apart from Charlton) though !

Attendance of nearly 26k.....when did we last have such a big crowd for a championship evening game ?

Kop - 3
South Stand - 9

What a frustrating striker he is....at Blackburn & many other games he has been average/quiet

Last night Ross was sharp as a whistle

16 goals this season deserves immense credit even from me

We are right on track to mediocrity
Already 6 points better than last season! If we'd finished with 7 more points last season (and better GD) then we'd have been in the play-offs. Glass half-full :)

Agree with pretty much all that 64. Managed to get to this game at short notice in the South Stand. Was impressed with Pugh who was solid if not spectacular. Pelts also, even though I had to put up with a lad and his mum (or girlfriend, couldn't really tell) slating him every time he got a touch or even if he was at the other end of the field not involved, this went on from 00.10 - 90.00mins constantly with 'Donkey' being the preferred name for him. Also when we had the best possession spell for around 5 mins in the first half in Wigans half that wasnt good enough either and they wanted us to shoot from 40 yards out or lump it forward even tho 5 mins before they were slating everyone for lumping it forward.

Wigan despite having some decent players never really threatened and when they did Paddy stepped up. Zaliukas was my MOTM. Very vocal and strong at the heart of defence.

Good atmosphere too with 26k. Not bad for a chilly Wednesday night.
What kind of music do you usually have here?

Oh, we got both kinds. Country....and Western.

Seattle Seahawks fans are pretty happy at the moment, I would imagine as a group there as about as united as you can get...

At Century Link Field on Monday night against the Saints they recorded 2.0 on the Richter scale and was classed as a mini earth quake..they also got in the Guinness Book of records last month as the loudest set of fans on the planet...impressive.

Well after saturdays shamble,s along came the F.A.Cup holders to elland road and they left pointless although at times they still showed they had some players with a bit of Preiership class. Also a good sizeable crowd thanks to GFH,s offer to season ticket holders. The one worry i think we could have is McCormack picks up an injury because without him we offer no threat in front of goal plus his vision brings other players in.but apart from that it,s another 3pts and thats all we can ask for if you ask most fans they are not bothered about the display as long as we have 3pts at the end of it.Next up Watford lets hope we continue as we have two Yorkshire derbies coming up.

Kenny 7 Looked solid only wish he would stop punching the ball out
Peltier 6 Looked a bit better but still nor reliable going forward
Lees 5 Did seem a bit unsettled
Zakiukas 9 looks like McDermotts best find
Pearce 8 Continue,s to shine
Pugh 7 Settled down after a poor show at Blackburn
Austin 5 Blew hot and cold
Murphy 8 the best midfielder on show
Mowatt 6 Got caught in possesion needs just to do simple things
Smith 5 Missed a sitter dont hope much hope for him as a fist team regular
McCormack 8 Once again pulled the strings and answered his critics with another brace

Not the best game by Leeds by far, but plenty of promise. Two more goals from ol' rubbish McCormack...... your partial retraction of his qualities noted Leon, is it a full retraction if he reaches 30 for the season???
I was pleased to see that others on here have noted Zaliukas' contribution, I think he has been the difference in the performance from the defence. He is doing a great job right in the centre of defence, vocal and commanding, and a real pain in the arse to the opposition in set plays..... makes a beeline for their goalkeeper and sticks with him. Deffo my Man of the Match (if you are continuing with the MOTM, Leon?). I must say it is good to be leaving ER with a bit of a buzz on nowadays, just hoping now that the thinly veiled promises from David Haigh come to fruition and that Egg gets his promised investment in time for the January sales.

Ross is in his best form ever in his Leeds career...about time too  I do think our two young un's Mowatt & Murphy have been influential in McCormacks form with decent balls into the box & BM of course since he realised Ross isn't a midfielder

Would be great now to get Murphy on the end of a few goals as we need more from him .
He has a bit of class on the ball and we`d really want a bit more ,not have`n a pop but he did cost a bit of dosh.
So i reckon he`s got to get closer to this part of his game and hopefully soon so let`s all have a punt on him by weekend.MOT.

Zaliukas seems the real deal. How did every other club miss on him though? Or was he able to raise his level of play once at Leeds? Though the season is far from done, thought he'd be just another has-been, bench sitter, but clearly BMD saw something no one or very few others did.

Great to get the points and a clean sheet. Seems also that we are creating chances to score. Am very encouraged that we seem to have a dominating CB. Is Murphy starting to emerge as an influential figure?
Will be interested to see if any changes are made to the starting line up for Sat's fixture.
