Re: Best pre-game establishment
Pecock is probably best since it's refurb. Does get very busy though and can take a while to get served.
Drysalters is ok, 5 minute walk away. Mix of home and away fans and generally easier to get served.

Yeah was thinking Peacock myself but as you said can at times be tough to get served.
Heading to the Forest game easter weekend so nearly sure to be a sell out.

Unfortunately most of the traditional pubs around Holbeck are no longer.
Kings Arms (Apartments)
Spotted Cow (Derelict)
Britannia (Boarded up,awaiting yet another owner)
Bulls Head (Seems to open when it wants)
Waggon and Horses (Now called "United" bar,bit of a s***hole)
The Imperial (Not too bad, gets a few in on matchday)
White Hart (Does well pre match)
Whistlestop (not quite as busy)
Peacock (Packed)
Drysalters (Better since it had a refurb last year)
Then there's Billy's Bar and The Pavillion both of which I've been going in since Bates departure safe in the knowledge the money goes to the club and not his back pocket.
I've also found out that Howards Restaurant the ill fated Bates idea which closed earlier this year is now open as a bar exclusively for away fans.

What a great break down off all the pubs in the area rich.
Its hard to know where to go any have a bit of room for a chat per match
