I'm writing a mid-season report for Reading site - The Tilehurst End.

I'm wondering whether you could help me with answering a few questions:

• What was your best game of the season so far?
• Who has been your best player?
• Who has been your underperformer?
• Who has been your best signing?
• Do you believe you are underperforming, overachieving or are performing how you expected at the start of the season?

1.Birmingham
2.Ross McCormack
3.Hunt was poor, though apparently injured at the beginning of the season. I think most players are playing above what was expected of them to be honest, few have been dropped due to form so far... Maybe Byram, as we were expecting a lot after his first season.
4.Zaliukas (though Mowatt is like a new signing from the youth set-up)
5.I don't think anyone really expected us to be top 6 by Christmas, given our relatively humble dealings in the transfer window (so overachieving).

Pretty much my reply - except for Byram. Unfair to judge him on a few appearances after returning from injury.
I'll replace him with Lees, who is a shadow of his last season excellence.

I felt a tinge guilty posting up Byram & yes it is probably unfair to include young Sam in such a survey as he is clearly nowhere near fit even though many of our fans are clamouring for Byram to replace Peltier

Good call on Lees the Hoofer, to be fair to the lad he has defended quite well, he just looks scared of a football looking very uncomfortable on the ball, tends to panic & resorts to hoof as his get out of jail card

Significantly over-achieving. Warnock left us with a lower half of the table squad, Brian McD has turned us into promotion contenders.

There were a few delays in getting it finished - mainly due to New Year and Reading games. I'm surprised that the article has gained around half of the page view on the entire site today.
