Re: WTF? NFL partnership
Progressive thinking from the club? Not seen that for a few years have we.
As I see it if it isn't costing us anything then why not. Partnering with one of the biggest names/brands in world sport can only be a good thing. They can bring us plenty of ideas. A link up also gives us exposure in America and potentially sales of 49ers stuff at the club shop.

Hope we can send Byram and Mowatt to the 49ers' training camp, to beef them up.

I have been a Washington fan for years, and we have just got a new head coach. Does this mean I have to transfer?
Could be an interesting partnership, so long as they don't expect us to play in Red & Gold !

Well I only starting following them about 3 months ago (after being recommended to watch Friday Night Lights), before that I'd not seen any, so my opinion doesn't count for much! But they have managed to lose a few times from decent positions since I have been...faaip wrote:thing is you have a Raider expert here who can help you grow to love the team and sport...Don't write the raiders off btw .. we have decent draft position and a crap load of cap space to work with. Davis is dead and there's a new era underway...
we were much better this year than last...D is improving
Looking forward to following a full season! I've really enjoyed watching the highlights shows too.

Wow! The stars are aligning before my very eyes. My football team and my, err, football team partnering up.faaip wrote:
Paul USA is a big niner fan...even as a Raider fan I love it...it means however we'll get a lot of moronic comments on our 2000 page plus NFL thread over on waccoe.
If it's wingers we need I'd suggest Micheal Crabtree who's 6'2" 215 pounds and has a tidy 4.54 forty...Boldin is to slow and frankly too old too.
The 49ers have been very strong brand over the past 30+ years and hopefully there are some best practices that the two clubs can share to mutual advantage.
Faaip - we should sign a side deal with the Raiders and use them as a reverse barometer of how to move forward.
Crabtree and Vernon Davis to be held in reserve - just in case Kebe and Stewart don't produce. Also, Donte Whitner could be the new Michael Brown.
Helplessly hoping

In response to Twigster picture - that is Gillette stadium -home of New England Pats - at Foxboro
I would have prefered the PATS affiliation , after years of bad management the right owner made this one of the most successful NFL franchises in the last decade.
49ers - are like LUFC - seen the glory years in the past and coming out of the doldrums

Donte Whitner would give opposing teams nightmares for the 35 seconds he's on the pitch...that guy plays with extreme violence
Us Raider fans will wave as we pass on our way to the playoffs next season..
