No corroboration from normal outlets yet -not sure if this is true - Any one else have anything to substantiate this ?

Okay, Cellino might well be interested in #lufc - but i've asked the club tonight and no shares have been sold to him

Adam Pope @APOPEY 2m
Reports of Cellino having bought #lufc are wide of mark but he has met with David Haigh & Andrew Flowers with regard to Sport Capital bid.

I can't understand why they didn't do the deal then?

because GFH may not want to upset a second interested party?

Funny how Popey almost always tweets hay's news, about 15mins before him. And nags toryboy continually.

Whats the options now though:
1. Haigh and group buys 75%
2. Cellino comes in and "steals" the deal and buys us
3. Cellino is part of Haigh group
anymore possibilities?

Leeds United is about to have an Italian owner. Cagliari’s president Cellino is currently in London and the signatures to close the deal are about to be made. The only thing missing is the approval of one of the partners. Cellino has big plans for Leeds, who will start over with some important names.
Cellino’s Italian club Cagliari has been in contact with QPR goal keeper Julio Cesar, who has also recently spoken to Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. Should the deal for the Brazilian goal keeper not go through, the other option for Cagliari is Emiliano Viviano currently at Arsenal. Leeds will start over with Cellino while Cagliari looks for a goal keeper.

Oh no, the shield badge has already been changed on the Internet to green and red, Italian scarpa boots ordered and pasta diet for the players. Joking aside there is too much publicity in this story to make it fake. Hopefully we will hear some news today.

Well, have Papa Smurf and Cellino ever been seen in the same room, together?

Some are saying Haigh couldn't pull the money together and that's why he has invited Cellino into the deal. Problem with this is that Cellino might go it alone. Although most business men would spread the bet to lower the risk

The delay is for everyone to be distracted with the takeover , I firmly believe they don't want to spend any money on any signings that involve Fees (that is what I believe ) , once the Transfer Window closes then it will be announced then .

This Italian has an "ino" in his name so I think he ought to be given a chance
