False accounting with reference to stadium building - at least that's not something that could be in any way associated with any previous Leeds owner

No sirree, not us

this to do with the stadium on Sardinia where he fell out with local dignitaries and the charges may have been trumped up? probably didn't give them enough of a backhander...something that goes on here btw...

Yeah, it sounds like total mess. Licences for stands not being give, revoked etc. Par for the course in Italy.

I must admit I am warming to Massimo although time will tell as to what his true plans are. From his quotes it does appear that he has a bit of money that he is prepared to spend both on acquiring the stadium and players. It is also a big positive for me that we sold no players when if, as suggested, the club needed the cash it would have been very easy to sell R Mc.

I think we need to allow the dust to settle. For whatever reason(s) he has decided to try to keep B Mc. One scenario is that he saw our league position, saw the recent results and decided to get rid of the manager. He probably thought the fans would have been on his side but then after seeing the support for Brian did the u-turn.

Ideally for me Massimo now needs to fully outline his plans to the LU Website rather than having all the contrary quotes lying about.

It may be that this deal is better than the alternatives because there is no real indcation that either Sports Capital or the oher bid would have the money to progress the cub.

I've no idea where Cellino takes us, but he looks to be a better prospect than Farnan etc...this MAY be our shot at getting off this sell to survive merry go round we're on...If Farnan and co had pots of money to invest they could have just out bid Cellino..

I knew this recent run of agreeing with your posts couldn't continue!

I don't believe for one moment that he has decided to keep Brian. I do think he has realised that, not yet being the owner, he had no legal right to sack him - yet.

The moment he is rubber stamped by the idiots in the FL Brian will be out

B McD's position is untenable now, if he's got any sense he'll steer well clear of getting involved and go for wrongful dismissal, especially if this talk of gfh headed paper being used is true. I certainly wouldn't blame him if he took the £'s and walked.

Oh I wasn't saying my scenario was truth or even anywhere near the truth. Like you I feel it is more the legal side of things.

However there does seem to be different stories coming out everyday to contradict the previous day's stories. an example being that Festa has gone from being the new manager in waiting to someone who it appears Massimo has no confidence in now.

My point was more that we need Massimo to speak directly to the Leeds fans, the LU website / LUTV being an ideal platform, rather than all the different titbits in papers, twitter etc.

On paper though any new owner of the club though could easily have just judged the situation - 12th place (same as the position NW left us in), no win in 6 matches, humiliated by a lower league team in the cup, humiliated by local rivals - and thought the manager needed to be fired. He does that, not expecting any backlash - how much backlash has he ever got when sacking in Cagliari - then when seeing the backlash realises it it a terrible start to his reign in terms of getting the fans on side so seeks to reinstate B Mc (with the plan to replace as soon as a better time arises).

here is what i think will happen. cellino will buy the club and the stadium, expect 2 loans in from Cagliari. Brian will keep his job for the time being. Paul hunt will be replaced with Gianluca Festa. Unfortunatly Haigh will keep his job as a director has GFH own 10% Salah Will become a director as he owns 10% who owns the other 5% i dont know. Leeds will invest heavily in squad improvements in the summer Brian will get sacked then reinstated then eventually replaced with an italian head coach. hopefully we will go up then become a top 6 club in the premiership. Cellino will buy the remaining 25% of shares
REST IN PEACE GARY SPEED LEEDS UNITED LEGEND

Do any of us on here or let`s say the average fan out there really know or care what football club owner`s really have done /doing away from Boardroom level ?.Probably NO would be my answer anyway.
All we want is success and soon by climbing one way and that`s up out of championship.
Personally i guessed what 10 yrs. back we`d be back in about say 6or7 years alas no! but we did nearly manage it in what 3 or so.But that was purely football reasons if we all didn`t know and for the record didn`t probably desrve it either.
Now the club was languising desparately and enter one Ken Bates and his lacky Dennis Wise and we got sort of a whim of what could be and of course got Absolutely nothing .Of the field we the fans/ supporters got shat on c**k and Bull as they say in cockney slang. We the fan`s life blood so to speak want better and deservedly so . Can any of us really predict anything ? No of course not and for the record we wouldn`t probally know nor understand much about what is going on in boardrooms up and down the country. We really do know what it is that we do want and its` high time we saw some positives .Brian Mc Dermott might be a modest man and even only a modest football manager but he`s ours` and he wants better not just for himself but every Leeds united fan there is.I`m long winded here i know but one last thing our recent bad run was to me the team and the expectations of a fantastic bunch of fans maybe just letting things get on top of themselves after all were only about a mid table side at moment. BUt then as someone commented to me recently and it was and is leeds united business we really do need to be in the know i think we know all we need to know about Mr. Cellino. MOT.

Think I spotted a Tweet earlier from Adam Pope / Phil Hay that there are in circulation copies of of McD's termination letter on LUFC Headed paper with Cellino's signature on it... is this correct?

If this is the case (assuming that it is Cellino's signature) then surely this just shows that the potential new owner had plans, effectively took/assumed control of the club and started sacking staff before realising that the sale hadn't been completed properly, then as the backlash from sponsors and fans kicked in as well as the realisation that the actions taken we unlawful has conveniently used (& abused) the position with GFH to save face and about turn blaming the situation on them.

Seems to me that if BMcD does return and Cellino takes ownership then the relationship between manager and owner is compromised is it not? With BMcD simply playing out his employment until the dust settles and the Italian can effectively sack him anyway?

I assume from BMcD's stand point as honourable and straight as he is, under the present circumstances he would have every right to walk away and sue for unfair dismissal and possibly a bigger payout from whichever party (Cellino or GFH) than returning to work to then find he's out of a job further down the line?

And if Cellino is now placing the blame at GFH's door by saying in fact that they were the one's who wanted to sack the manager then doesn't this effectively make GFH look completely incompetent and unable to manage? In which case David Haigh and co. have to refute and/or make a stance and show the timeline of events of what happened and who is to blame for the shambles that played out on Friday and Saturday.

And at this stage... if GFH do feel that they have been unfairly implied as incompetent/scared to manage the club by Cellino and feel that they can revert to opening the door to Farnan and drop the sale to the Italian can this still be done or are we too far down the road now and already effectively in the hands of the new owner aside for FL approval?
