I'm glad that I chose to watch the Irish thump Italy at home, but - more importantly - to watch a legend bow out on home turf.

I could not believe the score as it was coming through Leeds fans deserve what the Irish supporters have - 100% total committment for the cause/jersey from EVERY player - as exemplified by O'Driscoll.

Barring a catastrophic bad run of results where we are 'stuffed' on the level that we were today - I don't think it's quite time for McD to go, he needs to be given to the end of the season and look to achieve a respectable run in now & be judged on that.

He said himself he's never had a team that have had a set of 'bad' results like the one against Sheff Wed and today so it'll be interesting to see what he comes up with for Tuesday. His managerial skills and ability to recognise and change the players that aren't quite achieving what he had hoped they would even if they're his 'own' signings have to come to the fore.

And by the same token the players he's signed as well as a few who he's placed his faith in over recent games also have to look at themselves and put in performances that justify his belief in them.

I might be mad in thinking this but would Grayson with Cellinos money fit the bill?? He's doing well at Preston and his team that got us promoted out of League one was better than what we have now!

I was singing the Brian out tune back in Xmas and since then we have won 2 games. He is the worst manager we have had at the club in my time as a fan. He has achieved fuckall and spent money without having to sell his best player. Clueless beyond belief with no style of play. Stewart is a truly awful player dap are Kebe austin and lees. Peltier is crap too. Why isn't he using 3 centre mids with brown or tonge sitting deep with Murphy and mowatt in the middle getting forward. Festa we need you

I feel for Armley and Cozy, who took kids to their 1st game at ER. I feel for 500 ( ) LUSCOS fans who flew over for the game and a few Irish lads I know who made the trip and a lad from Spain.
I feel for every Leeds fan at ER today...

But most of all, I feel for the poor sods in VLR today, as Harry's jokes were beyond AWFUL!

2. We had one saleable asset left at the club when he came, and he's managed to hold on to him (and thank god, where would we be without Ross' goals?). Hardly Brian's fault the team had been dismantled in the 3 seasons prior to his arrival. He's spent money, but was promised more. It's been said in lots of threads, but I'm sure he wouldn't have spent £1m on Murphy if he'd thought that was over half his budget... He's spent comparably to Colin and those players are arguably better than the majority of his dire signings (who are clogging up the wage bill).

Yet another gutless, passionless, abysmal performance on a par with the Rochdale & Sheff Wed fiasco's, clearly McDermott hasn't addressed those unacceptable performances as he promised us despairing fans

Don't anyone pretend that's Warnock's team. That is McDermott's side masquerading as Lufc and it's nothing short of a disgrace.

Bolton never got out of 2nd gear as they strolled through our inept midfield/defence, every time they were awarded a free-kick you could predict us conceding a goal as the ball was floated into our box & one of of their players were on the end of it with minimal challenging from our dopey defenders. It was so easy !
Once again we created very little upfront, the whole match day experience is not a pleasant one anymore

We'll never make progress with Ross and Rudi as Brian's untouchables. One drives the wrong formation and the other can't drive.

In BMs defence the Bolton players and the stewards were wearing identical kit. Our defenders were clearly marking the stewards at times today

Untill the take over go through if it does I am afraid we will just have to put up with what we have the fact is if we sack McDermott who can do it GFH? Cellino does not own us yet and as I say if the take over fails how could we pay McDermotts compensation.You only have to look around Elland Road we have the biggest squad bar QPR and god knows what back room staff plus all the other we have.We have a lot of players on daft contracts not McDermotts signings who we cant shift.The club is desperate for Cellino to take over if it does not prepare for administration that will be a fact.As for the game well let not go down that route all I know is I will still be there no matter what even Div 1.

Butland 5 - feel sorry for young Jack, probably never let in 5 at his previous clubs, how demoralising on his home debut.
Peltier 4 - some stray passes but made some good inceptions in the first half which our fans obviously missed
Lees 2 - never rated this lad
Wootton 2 - looks like McDermott wasted 800k on this fella
Warnock 4 - gradually gone downhill since returning to the first eleven
Kebe 2 - oh dear !
Murphy 6 - once again Luke carries the midfield on his own
Austin 3 - One of Mcdermott's favourites which will ultimately cost him his job....awful footballer

Wickham 6 - unenviable task for another one in his home debut, tried & showed some nice touches. Must wonder what possessed him to come to ER
McCormack 2 - another one of McDermott's untouchables, dismal & woeful performance from our overated frontman, decent championship defenders know how to handle him & swallow him up with ease

Byram 5 - gave us a bit more energy going forward, always a mistake in young Sam when defending thesedays
Mowatt 5 - some nice passes & at least he can control a football
Smith 6 - put himself about & a good header for his goal

McDermott 0 - should have remained SACKED, get him out of our club Cellino when you eventually take charge !

Fans 0 - to those 1000's who left the ground after 70 minutes

Must have been less than 15k in the ground at the final whistle

I waited until I had calmed down a bit before saying a word about the match, but have decided on more than one word.
Awful, abysmal, appalling, atrocious, abominable, alarming, astounding, abhorrent, astonishing, aberrant, abnormal, atypical, anomalous and abject. I reserve the right to keep the rest of the alphabet for future matches!
Half the time I sat with my mouth hanging open, I just couldn't believe what I was watching! At one of the corners in the 2nd half, a guy who sits near us bellowed it was time for McDermott to go, with a few choice expletives thrown in, and Ross McCormack heard him, turned and shouted back that he was a pillock, and very nearly missed the corner coming across the goal area.... whatever happened to concentration? Later in the match, after another poor bit of play, I spotted Wickham flapping his arms as if to say "what the hell have I let myself in for?", and who can blame him?
Brian, you've tried, but the use of wingers just is not working, at least not with the wingers we have. We have to drop Stewart and Kebe for now and play more to our strengths, whatever they are! I've been a supporter of Egg, but I find my support swinging away from him. IF Cellino takes over then anything is possible but that is a big if. I thought that Cellino would fight to take over the club, but have just read an article where he says that he will walk away from the club if the FL turn him down.

Once again we are discussing an embarassing performance from the men in white !! Bolton were'nt Real Madrid FFS!!!!!!!!!!!
Murphy for me was the only bright spot he put himself about and put in a decent shift, the rest well, Wickham&Butland must be wondering WTF are we doing here,just shows how much we rely on Jason Pierce our one and only defender who is up to pulling on the white shirt, Lees overrated journeyman who belongs in the Confrence, Wotton did we really spend money on this waste of a shirt !!! Peltier and Warnock experienced enough to do better than this (at least show some fight !!!) Austin the headless Chicken World Champion, Kebe and Stewart jeeeeeesus christ we would be better off with Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder on the wings!!!
